With the expansion of chemical-related production because of industrialization, there has been an increase in need for a specialized study of industrial chemistry that prepares students with the skills to navigate the industry. The Faculty of Applied & Life Sciences provides a two-year Postgraduate degree programme in Industrial Chemistry, which prepares students to become critical human resources for the nation’s overall economic growth.

The programme follows a curriculum that is unique and is aligned with industry requirements, ensuring that students continue to get the greatest level of industrial relevance. To ensure that students get the most beneficial practical industry experience possible, the Faculty of Applied Sciences is equipped with cutting-edge research and experimental facilities. B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4 years (8 semesters) undergraduate program designed to create engineers who can work for the society for creating space to improve their living standard, create safe and secure environment from natural and manmade disasters. The teaching – learning pedagogy involves not only class room teaching but also experiential learning through practical in the lab, fields and interactions with experts, training in workshops, internships, live projects and field work. Students are taught variety of courses in the field of structural engineering, transportation engineering, water supply and waste water treatment, environment engineering, foundation engineering, surveying, estimation and costing etc. Apart from that students have exposure to software learning relevant to industry and it is ensured that students are industry ready after leaving the college life and easily adaptive to the new environment through skill development based courses.

Geographical Information System (GIS) is an inter-disciplinary field that builds expertise in the application of geospatial technologies to the most important real-world concerns in the areas of the environment, earth sciences, social sciences, and economics. The field focuses on translating geospatial data into useful end-user information by using acquisition, processing, characterisation, analysis, and modelling to better understand geographic patterns, processes, and interactions at all scales, from macro to global.

Microbiology, a branch of medicine and is a study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. These bacteria can cause various diseases in human beings. B.Sc. Medical Microbiology provides students with the knowledge of microbial pathogenesis, epidemiology, disease pathology, and immunology. The programme trains aspirants to perform effective treatment on infectious diseases and make certain clinical applications of microbes for the improvement of health. Along with the study of pathology, biochemistry, and immunology, students will also learn about the human immune system and the immune response to a variety of infectious microbes.

BBA program gives the students strategic outlook on problems of business organization, management & solutions to them. Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two year professional post-graduate program for aspirants willing to have command over applications of computers with the help of learning modern programming languages. The program focuses on establishing core concepts along with the strong programming aptitude. The teaching – learning pedagogy of the program bridges the gap between industry and academia by preparing young professionals for the nitty-gritty of computer applications, JAVA, Python, Advanced Database, Block Chain, Soft Computing, Computer Networking, Big Data, Cloud Computing, NET Technology, Internet of Things, Digital Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security,  Advanced Java Script etc.

Environmental Engineering encompasses ecology, geology, chemistry, biology, hydrology, microbiology and considered to be a vast field. It’s major emphasis is on protection of all living organism, their health and environment. It is a discipline related to Civil Engineering as well as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Environmental engineers are involved in the field of water and waste management, and involved in the major challenges like global warming, acid rain, ozone depletion, and water and air pollution. That requires a specialized training in the field and owing to this Uttaranchal University offers a post graduate program in the field of Environment Engineering.

Program curriculum has been designed to fulfil the growing demand for individuals who can respond to the advanced knowledge needs of industry, research organisations, and academics. Computer Science & Engineering offers the students a platform to explore the practical and theoretical knowledge of computation, program design, programming, computer hardware and software as well as integrates with other fields of engineering.B.Tech Computer Science Engineering. Program provides all of the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the tech business. The program focuses on both practical and theoretical computer hardware and software skills. It emphasizes the fundamentals of computer programming and networking while covering a wide range of subjects.

B.Tech CSE with specialization in Cloud Computing is a 4-year specialised undergraduate program that focuses on comprehensive knowledge of data storage, cloud security and network. Cloud Computing enables computing services for accessing resources over the internet on demand as and when required and then paying accordingly. Program also offers in depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, multitenant technology, virtualization and various cloud delivery models.

The programme on M.Sc. Zoology beside providing conceptual and practical knowledge related to basic and applied field of zoology also aims to provide skills related to advanced analytical techniques utilized in zoological studies with an objective to impart research aptitude among students. The curriculum is enriched with seminar presentation, industrial visit and report writing enhance communication and presentation skills with dissertation being a compulsory part inculcates critical thinking ability to design and develop solutions to problems related to environment, health and society.

B.Tech ECE with VLSI & Embedded system is a 4 year program offered at Uttaranchal University aims to provide the knowledge and skills in VLSI design methodology and embedded system. The curriculum covers algorithms, System Architecture Verification Techniques, Component requirement for Hardware Model, substantial Designs, and Synthesis & Simulation for VLSI system. The programme also covers thrust areas like Real Time application of VLSI & Embedded Systems, Advanced Microcontrollers, Advanced Embedded System Design, and System on Chip. Apart from the curriculum, the teaching pedagogical activities include industrial visits, seminars, practice on various simulation tools like, workshops on new technologies, and guest lecturers.
