The Master’s program in Contemporary Art Program emphasizes on art meeting the public and creation of a framework for an individual history of practice. Regular dialogues with faculty, practitioners from around the world, architects, scientists, designers helps develop a platform for building life-long art practices and networks. Making and critical thinking are fundamental to the aims of the program. The studio based program encourages practices that are speculative and reflective, encouraging work in a range of media. It is concerned with ways of learning that are experiential – embodied through and understood by the acquisition of a practice.

Key study topics include Introduction to fashion, styling and photography; design, visual and popular culture; fashion imaging and marketing; research, analysis and interpretation; forecasting, advertising, marketing and PR; styling and photography as narrative; portfolio, self-promotion and career planning; visual and critical analysis. The animation & Game Design course at WUD prepares students to create solutions through the design medium with creativity as the core focal point. This course exclusively deals with Animation, Game Development on a large scale especially focusing on the entertainment industry. During the course, students will be equipped with skills and techniques of animation and games such as Visual Development, Fundamentals of Animation And Game Development, Character Design & Story Boarding, Stop-motion, VFX for Film & Games, 3D Art, Environment Art, Character Design, Creature Design, Concept Art, Level Design, Lighting and CGI skill-set maintaining a strict level of Industry-standard practices and standards along with Industry professionals/ experts guidance and support.

The master’s program builds into the project and research-based inquiry of the subject and prepares the student to emerge an expert in the interdisciplinary application and negotiation of the knowledge of performing arts to negotiate and mould social and cultural behaviours. They will also engage in a largely project-based study of the implementation of these learnings and produce research studies on the impact of the performing arts on history and technology. The program is largely oriented towards producing cultural administrators.

In an interdisciplinary way, the strategy & innovation concentration would have you actively practice Design strategy & Human Centred Design through a pathway of studio courses that teach how to use market insights to build products, create experiences, and launch businesses. In addition to dedicated studio space for heads-down work, students have access to model-making, rapid prototyping, and multimedia technology for the range of projects they take on to bring this work to life. By the end of this programme, you would gain adequate competence enabling them to understand and map the opportunities and design transformational strategies, manage innovation and new business development in any of all the diverse sectors from products to services, governance, crafts to ICT, life and entertainment, etc. and will be equally equipped to enter any industry, social enterprises, consultancy or jobs always contributing to the top management function either as team players or as team leaders or even initiate start-ups.

This course focuses on creating fashion illustrators who will be able to meet the requirements of the rising demands of the fashion and entertainment industries. The unique feature of this course is the manner in which Art and Fashion are brought together in terms of concept and skill. With an emphasis on fashion trends and artistic practice, students will study fashion, illustration, the related histories along with studying fashion figures, different mediums and techniques. They will be guided to develop their individual styles through which they can create branding and identities for themselves.
