Our Bachelor of Visual Arts prepares you for the demands of a career in contemporary art, whether as an artist or in the many other roles within the art sector. Study visual arts with us and enjoy a student-centered and studio-based program where you can follow your interests in art – including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, sculpture, installation, moving images, sound, performance, social practice, multimedia approaches, and new and emerging technologies.

In this major you develop a sound understanding of the interplay between social forces, economics, and politics. New information security threats and attacks are constantly developing and the only solution is to develop increasingly secure networks. That’s why networks and cybersecurity are areas that are universally important.

Study the basics and infrastructure of networking, and learn to configure, implement and analyse network devices. This includes information network administration and cybersecurity to an advanced level.

The Bachelor of Creative Technologies is New Zealand’s most innovative bachelor’s programme. It’s designed for this fast-moving digital era that recognises we need to think creatively about the application of technology in society. You’ll learn to identify new opportunities and creative approaches to guide the transformation of industries and businesses that this era requires.

The programme is organised around projects and challenges.
