The Master of Wine Business and Innovation (MWBI) is a Level 9 program of 240 credits, completed by coursework, industry integrated project, or applied research.

The philosophy underpinning the Wine Business and Innovation suite of programs is to provide a breadth of knowledge and a business focus to those wanting to develop their skills and progress within the wine industry. The programs can serve as rigorous professional development for those already within the wine industry, and as an advanced level pathway into the industry for those in other areas.

The NZ Diploma in Architectural Technology offers you the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become a productive member of an architectural design team. You will gain the practical knowledge to undertake the whole process of producing architectural drawings, from establishing a client’s requirements right through to submission of the final designs.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

• Apply comprehensive industry knowledge to evaluate design principles for small, medium and large building projects in a design, building or construction related environment.
• Carry out feasibility studies for small, medium and large buildings.
• Establish the clients’ requirements, develop and communicate a concept and building design, and prepare approval documentation for a building project in accordance with a clients’ brief.
• Evaluate the performance of and select materials and finishes to be used in the building process.
• Prepare, organise and present architectural working drawings for small and medium buildings using manual and digital technologies in accordance with the statutory and regulatory environment.
• Understand the roles, documentation and administrative requirements of the construction industry, apply this knowledge and assist senior personnel through the tender process.

The BVN program is designed for individuals wishing to become highly regarded industry professionals within the veterinary nursing sector.

As a graduate of the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing you will:

• Place animal welfare at the forefront of every veterinary nursing task and procedure performed while also considering human and environmental factors;
• Integrate extensive knowledge and understanding of the professional, cultural, ethical and moral responsibilities of a veterinary nurse;
• Confidently apply advanced theoretical knowledge and skills in veterinary medical nursing, anaesthesia and surgical assistance in practice;
• Think and reflect critically to continuously improve animal well-being, their own practice and the industry as a whole;
• Proactively engage in continuous learning and undertake research to support evidence-based practice, solving complex problems in relation to patient care and health;
• Advise clients on the management of individual animal care based on contemporary evidence; and
• Recognise the need for and lead the development of strategies to deal with emotionally and otherwise stressful situations.

In IDEAschool’s Bachelor of Creative Practice (BCP) program you will learn through hands-on engagement with the ideas and technologies associated with Design, Fashion, Fine Art, Music and Screen Production.

The course will teach you a wide range of technical skills that are essential to successful practice in the creative industries today. You will learn software as well as traditional methods of creating Design, Fashion, Fine Art, Music and Screen Production. You will be challenged to develop your powers of creative thinking and idea generation. These, together with developing mastery of media techniques, will enable you to make work that is both professional and personally satisfying. In the second and third years of the degree you will drive your creative direction with increasing independence.

IDEAschool has a suite of up-to-date and well-appointed workshops and technologies along with the expert tuition to help you navigate and master them. Course content reflects the cultural concerns specific to Aotearoa New Zealand as well as wider contemporary global trends and influences. EIT and IDEAschool maintain strong relationships with the local and national creative communities and connects with these to create opportunities for you beyond the classroom.

The MIT is a Level 9 programme with a minimum of 180 or 240 credits. It enables those who have completed a Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology/Computing to achieve a postgraduate level qualification in Information Technology.

The programme can be completed in two years (240 credits) or 18 months (180 credits) full-time or up to eight years part-time, depending on your previous study and experience and specific course preferences.  It is designed to extend and deepen your knowledge and skills by building on attainment gained from undergraduate study in the computing field and to extend current information technology professionals in their career progression.

The programme builds on your existing information technology knowledge and skills through courses that research and apply that knowledge and those skills in an environment that combines project work, case studies, real-life simulations, and practical work experience.  It encourages flexibility, acknowledging the diversity of the IT environment and the diversity in student interest and needs.

The Bachelor of Computing Systems (BCS) will equip you with foundation knowledge of computer hardware, networking communications and security, data and databases, information systems and IT management, systems analysis, design, and development, and internet and mobile technologies.

Depending on the stream of courses you select, you will develop the ability to design and implement high quality IT solutions within your specialisation, and apply the professional processes necessary to achieve successful outcomes for organisations.

The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (BSES) program is a full-time, three year program that offers stimulating degree studies, enabling you to become a highly regarded industry professional within the sport, health and exercise science sectors.

The program enables graduates to enter employment in the sport, exercise and recreation industry with a sound knowledge of:

The Master of Health Science programme provides the opportunity for practitioners working in health and health-related fields to advance and expand their knowledge and expertise within an interdisciplinary learning environment. 

Courses are designed around knowledge and research relating to key threads of health disparities and the global health needs of populations. The program provides you with the opportunity to investigate the worldwide improvement of health, reduction of health disparities and protection against global threats from an international context.

The multidisciplinary and inter-professional context of health science involves everyone sharing discussions from their own experiences, enabling all practitioners to advance their knowledge of health treatment, care and prevention of disparities in a truly interdisciplinary sphere.

This qualification is designed for learners who wish to further develop their practical and conceptual skills and knowledge in arts, crafts and/or design.

The creative industries and cultural sector in Aotearoa New Zealand will benefit from graduates who can use research to inform, critique and present resolved work in simulated contexts.

As a graduate you will be able to independently select and apply a range of processes in arts, craft and/or design contexts.

As a graduate of this qualification you will be able to:
