A Massey University Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Mechatronics) equips you with the knowledge and skills you will need to develop your own mechatronic systems. These skills will help you develop effective solutions to the problems you will face in the industry.

Massey’s Graduate Diploma in Arts (Creative Writing) will give you the equivalent of an undergraduate major in creative writing without completing a second bachelor’s degree. You can then apply for postgraduate study in creative writing if you wish.

Studying software engineering will see you gain the knowledge, tools, and practical skills to be able to design, construct, test, and maintain large software applications.

The Bachelor of Information Sciences (Software Engineering) is a joint major which means that you will study aspects of both computer science and information technology.

Your learning will focus on:

• The design and construction of large software applications
• Both soft and hard software development skills
• The technical knowledge of computer programming from computer science combined with the design and team skills of information technology.

Massey is one of the few universities in New Zealand where your information sciences qualification covers all five disciplines of computer science, data science, information technology, information systems and software engineering.  Many graduates have found it really useful to complete the Graduate Diploma “with no endorsement”.  This means that you can select the courses you are most interested in from across the range of subjects.  You are strongly encouraged to select “no endorsement”.

The Master of Information Sciences will give you in-depth knowledge and expertise in a range of topics within the area of information sciences.In the Master of Information Sciences you will study several topics in depth and explore how best to apply your new knowledge and some new technologies.

Gain an understanding of the political, economic, social, and cultural factors that influence the development, implementation, and evaluation of social policy in Aotearoa New Zealand. You’ll study law, politics and the roles of central and local government in a democratic society. This will give you insights into the relationships between the state, judiciary, legal system, political parties and public in shaping legislation and developing policy.

The Graduate Diploma in Business Studies is useful if you wish to keep up with professional developments in your field and are short of time. Or you may have found yourself working in a different field of business to that in which you hold a qualification.

You need to be a university graduate to enroll in this program. The Graduate Diploma in Business Studies enables you to study another subject without completing a second bachelor’s degree. The graduate diploma is a bridging tool to gain the equivalent of an undergraduate major in a specific area so you can go on to postgraduate study.

With Massey’s Postgraduate Diploma in Construction (Sustainable Built Environment) you’ll learn strategies and techniques for sustainable design and construction of built environments.
Climate change presents specific challenges that require innovations during the entire lifecycle of projects. You’ll be introduced to many aspects influencing the building project lifecycle including:

• The principles of sustainability

From here you can go deeper into sustainability techniques in the construction industry, or develop the research skills that will support your further study.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Information Sciences will give you in-depth knowledge and expertise in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering. Many students choose to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Sciences with a mix of courses that best suit you.

You can include courses in computer science, information technology or software engineering. You can also add data science, cyber security, information systems and/or business management.
