Massey University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Construction (Construction Law) gives you the opportunity to join the pathway to in-depth research at a master's level.

The qualification gives you the opportunity to show your analytical thinking as well as your high-level research capability.

The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Philosophy) will give you the equivalent of an undergraduate major in philosophy without completing a second bachelor’s degree.

Philosophy isn’t just about abstract thinking. Studying philosophy develops your critical thinking skills: your ability to assess whether arguments are rationally compelling and to make your arguments compelling to others. This skill is important in the workplace and is consistently ranked by employers among the most desirable attributes in an employee.

You may not have previous international business experience but have found yourself a manager of staff working in this area. Or you may be looking at moving into a management role in the international business area. If so, Massey’s Master of Management (International Business) will increase your understanding and expertise in international-business related skills and knowledge. Such expertise is particularly relevant when working for firms in countries with small domestic markets (like New Zealand), where internationalisation is an imperative.

Gain an understanding of the political, economic, social, and cultural factors that influence the development, implementation, and evaluation of social policy in Aotearoa New Zealand. You’ll study law, politics and the roles of central and local government in a democratic society. This will give you insights into the relationships between the state, judiciary, legal system, political parties and public in shaping legislation and developing policy.

In this fast and changing society, it is important to develop versatile and transferable skills that can open many career pathways. English offers exciting and challenging courses to extend your knowledge of literary and media texts and expressive arts. Courses taught in the English program cover a wide spectrum of topics. These include British, American, New Zealand, and postcolonial literature. You will also have the choice of courses in drama, creative writing, speaking, media studies, film, and gender issues. All of these courses are concerned with the fundamental skills of interpretation and expression.

Undertake a shorter, more flexible study option with the Diploma in Science and Technology at Massey.
Later you may have courses you have passed under the diploma qualification credited to a bachelor’s degree. That will be on the proviso that the courses comply with the regulations of the degree in question.

The course is open to anyone who has gained admission to Massey University, but in some cases, specific courses may require a subject background at level 3 NCEA.

The Diploma in Arts (Social Policy) will provide you with an understanding of the political, economic, social and cultural factors that influence the development, implementation, and evaluation of social policy in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Social policy explores the ways in which power, resources, and opportunities are distributed within society and what influences that distribution. It introduces you to law, politics, and the role of government in a democratic society. The qualification also examines the relationship between the state, political parties, the judiciary, the legal system, and the public in shaping legislation and developing policy.

Massey’s Master of Finance combines the study of advanced finance theory with the choice of completing the qualification either by undertaking a Research option or a Professional option.

What will you learn?
Your study will focus on finance, but help you put this specialty into the context of other business disciplines.

This qualification has a focus on real-world learning – you can utilise our relationships with industry to draw on your own work experience. You will also learn the application of techniques in environments like our Trading and Investment Rooms – the first of their kind in New Zealand.

You will be taught by some of New Zealand's leading finance practitioners and will learn how to apply high-level in-depth research in the workplace.

The Master of Finance will also help develop your oral and written communication skills to the level expected of senior business leaders.
