Our Primary Education Studies course is designed for those looking for a career working with children aged 3-12 and their families. It’s also a great option if you already work in education but want to learn more about the subject or progress in your career.

We focus on education history, policy and the way children are taught today. You’ll graduate with a thorough understanding of classroom management, lesson planning, National Curriculum subjects, and the three Key Stages in primary education. We’ll also touch on special educational needs provision.

Our Pharmaceutical Science degree course will develop your understanding of the science that underpins medicine, preparing you to translate scientific discoveries and technological advances into improved healthcare.

As a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying student at ARU, you’ll learn how to financially manage construction projects from initial concept, through to design, build and maintenance.

Quantity surveyors play a vital role in deciding whether construction projects are financially viable. And so, through studying our Quantity Surveying degree,, you’ll gain a vital understanding of issues such as value for money, health and safety and the environment – as well as exploring the wider context of the built environment.

Once you’ve graduated, you’ll be able to register with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and start working as a chartered quantity surveyor. This course includes, at a subsidised cost, a week-long residential field trip to Constructionarium in the first year. Constructionarium is a hands-on construction experience for students; participants construct scaled down versions of bridges, buildings, dams and civil engineering projects from all around the world. The principle is to link academic institutes with industry and to ensure that you can apply your knowledge in a practical, safe and relevant environment.
