The course will also prepare you to take up a career in a range of industries. We will teach you the diversity of interior design strategies across sectors, from considered display, interpretation, and conservation requirements in museum and exhibition design to innovative interior solutions and strategies that can impact on buyer behaviour in shopping and retail.  

During the final part of the course you will apply this knowledge to the formulation, investigation and detailed development of a major design brief. This project is a chance to hone your skills as an independent researcher and gain first-hand experience of important professional skills, including digital manufacturing processes, reporting, and creating design presentations.

Designed to equip you with the technical expertise needed for a career in industry, this course will prepare you for roles in analytics by developing your technical expertise and professional skills in business intelligence.

The first semester modules focus on core topic areas such as statistics, database design and programming, enabling you to gain insights into large multivariate datasets and apply your problem-solving abilities to explore business opportunities and challenges faced by data scientists when using business intelligence systems.

In the second semester you will apply your technical knowledge and further progress your analytical expertise by focusing on specific data science subject areas such as big data, data mining and business intelligence. You will also be encouraged to demonstrate your technical and analytical abilities in response to real-world problems during your final-semester individual project.

This versatile degree programme boasts an interprofessional and dynamic approach to learning that provides students with a framework for exploring key issues in contemporary public health in the UK. In addition to consideration of different theoretical perspectives, alongside the application of theory to current public health challenges, students have the opportunity to tailor their learning to fit specific career interests, build their confidence and acquire specialist skills sought by employers.

You will cover varied and extremely relevant topics, including: health psychology, health sociology, public health, health promotion, health and social care management and health inequalities. You will have the opportunity to choose from elective modules in year three including Substance Use, Addictive Behaviour and Health; Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Social Exclusion and Health.

This course covers fraud, financial crime and data analysis procedures – invaluable insight used by professionals in the search for criminal activity in both public and private sector organisations. It will prepare you to conduct fraud investigation and give expert testimony and litigation support for public and private sector organisations.

Learn about accounting scandals and incidences of fraud, and find out how they can be detected, prevented and deterred, with study of the legal environment in which forensic accounting operates. Discover digital forensics, including how to investigate digital artefacts, and find out how recent corporate failures in the UK, Italy and USA have led to conversations about the role of corporate governance and corporate social responsibilities.

In this course, you will gain a detailed understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and techniques, and learn to use this knowledge to address contemporary problems and challenges such as the use of microprocessor-based systems to control home appliances and the detection and resolution of collisions in applied mechanics.

Get involved with our dedicated Robot Club, where you will solidify your skills by instructing secondary school children on robotic construction or take the opportunity to develop your own robot project, with the potential to compete in the annual international Robot Challenge in Vienna.

This program focuses on detailed decisions about the design and construction of buildings and their immediate surroundings. Architectural Technology is concerned with new and existing buildings and examines how detail relates to the design concept. This field is also central to the communication of design decisions to members of the construction team and vital to ensuring that work is carried out in the correct manner.  

Our course will help you evolve the knowledge and skills required in understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation relative to design, technology, management, and practice. It will also help advance your architectural management proficiency by bringing together all aspects of the design process, from concept through to completion. 

In addition, this degree examines design strategies to promote and encourage sustainability. You will explore methods of sustainability to inform architectural design, and develop an awareness of ecological footprints, materials, and embodied energy along with processes of achieving sustainable design.

This course is designed to provide a detailed understanding of the evolution of diplomacy and the way in which diplomacy is practised in the contemporary world. It tackles a number of broader issues that impact on diplomatic processes, such as the way in which states operate in regional organisations such as the European Union, the threat of organised crime and terrorism and the role of multinational corporations and companies.
