The Philosophy MPhilStud course is a unique and intensive two-year programme – the only one of its kind in the UK.

It is dedicated to postgraduate study and research in the tradition of modern European (or 'continental') philosophy.  You will be able to study in more depth and with a more intense research focus than is possible in a one-year MA.

Applying psychology to business can offer insight into how individuals and groups behave. This course combines psychological theory with business understanding. It centres on the requirements of the UK-based building surveying professional, as identified by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). You will develop professional skills and examine the multidisciplinary requirements specific to building surveying (such as building information modelling).

In addition to focused modules on Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche and Heidegger, you may also choose from a wide range of modules dealing on contemporary philosophy, critical theory, psychoanalysis, contemporary art, and so on.
