Course structure
You’ll study a balance of history and media modules in your first year, helping you develop a strong skillset and knowledge of methodologies in each discipline. Things like source analysis and media interpretation.

In your second year, you’ll bring your skillset together by completing your first interdisciplinary module. You’ll also begin driving your studies in the direction you want through a wide range of module options.

Your third year culminates in the completion of your dissertation, which explores and celebrates the interconnections between history and media. Employability is embedded throughout your course.

Nutrition plays a key part in the promotion of good health and the primary prevention of diet-related illness in communities and populations.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Become a critically reflective practitioner and gain practical experience in our health science and catering laboratories
• Gain an understanding of the relationship between food, nutrition and health
• Manage, analyse, interpret and communicate information and statistics about nutrition related health and disease states
• Undertake work-based placements to apply your expertise and refine your practical skills
• Have the option of undertaking a sandwich placement in year three

 You’ll undertake an extended placement in an area such as the food industry, for producers of specialist nutrition products, health promotion or research. You’ll also develop group skills by delivering your own nutrition awareness event. Throughout the course, you’ll learn skills which are appealing and desirable to employers.

As part of this course you’ll:

• Learn to help people of all ages to manage pain and dysfunction
• Study the core areas of neuromusculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological physiotherapy
• Practise thinking independently and problem solving in a clinical capacity
• Gain comprehensive hands-on experience through diverse clinical practice placements

Professional regulation
This course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council and will provide you with the necessary expertise and skills to become a qualified physiotherapist.

Immunisations

Become an effective communications practitioner with the expertise and confidence to work in an international setting. You will learn how to work with clients to produce practical communications solutions in the private, public and voluntary sectors all over the world.

The course is delivered by four European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, IULM in Italy and Vilnius University in Lithuania, which all specialise in professional communications and public relations.

You will choose whether to study your first or second semester at Leeds Beckett University, where you will benefit from being taught at one of the most established centres for education and research in the field of public relations in Europe. You will spend your remaining semesters at a partner university, specialising in areas of expertise specific to that university. You could also take an optional industry placement in your final semester.

Examine our relationship with the natural environment and learn to understand and consider responses to the challenges of climate change, globalisation, urbanisation, development and regeneration.

As part of your course, you’ll:

• Explore a range of contemporary issues within geography and environmental science such as remote sensing, natural hazard management, energy and environmental governance, climate adaptation, GIS and specialist technical field work
• Develop your understanding of the relationships between human activity and environmental change and combine theories about the physical nature, characteristics and environment of the world with human interactions

We have an excellent network of employers who will be able to offer relevant experience to help you develop employability and personal skills to help prepare you for employment. We also offer a work placement module to hone your personal, professional and employability skills.

Field trips, which include visits to sites of geographical and environmental importance, will help you gain an understanding of real-world issues and develop competence in practical research skills.

Flexible and varied, this course will thoroughly prepare you to meet the challenges of working in today's financial and business sectors.

As part of your course you’ll:

• Study a variety of topics in your modules to develop your employability prospects alongside your technical expertise
• Learn from staff with substantial professional experience through tutorials, seminars, lectures and group project work
• Benefit from a mix of approaches to teaching and assessment, including the use of industry-standard technology to make sure you become a work-ready graduate

We will encourage you to enhance your entrepreneurial skills through active participation in a range of national student competitions such as the IBM University Business Challenge.

Our guest lecture series will help support your development. Past speakers have included Will Holman, Deputy Agent for the Bank of England in Yorkshire and the Humber and Angela Knight, chair of the Office of Tax Simplification.

As part of this course you’ll:

• Explore the social and cultural history of Britain, Europe and the Wider World from c. 1750 to the very recent past
• Develop key transferable skills in research, writing, communication, and digital technology
