We created the PG Cert, PG Dip, MSc Data Science in collaboration with a number of high profile industry leaders. It aims to address the skills shortage in data analytics.

Our master's in Data Science brings together students and industry practitioners to develop and translate new technologies into industry practice.

You'll receive a comprehensive grounding in the theory and application of data science. You'll develop a multi-disciplinary combination of skills in statistics and computer science. You'll also gain the ability to apply these skills to real problems in a given application area.

This unique four-year fine art degree focuses on developing your professional, practical and theoretical skills alongside your own exciting body of work. You'll graduate ready for a career in the field or progression to postgraduate study.

You will have space and time to experiment and develop your ambitious ideas in the studio, as well as forming a deeper understanding of art history and contemporary art through taught modules.

Throughout your degree, you can choose from more than 20 specialist workshops, such as ceramics, photography, 16mm film, oil painting, performance and experimental printmaking.

You'll become a confident fine art professional, with the skills and knowledge of what it takes to thrive in the contemporary art world through live projects, placement opportunities, exhibitions and your final-year degree show. Your degree show gives you the chance to display your work to hundreds of visitors.

We place a particular emphasis on the scientific study of livestock and companion animals (including horses). You'll study subjects that reflect the whole life of an animal:

• Animal health and behaviour
• Animal reproduction and nutrition

We bring your learning to life through extensive interaction with animals throughout your degree. You'll gain practical experience through regular visits to local animal centres and the University's two farms. You'll also enjoy input from professionals in the animal science industry.

Your third year group project to organise a conference on animal science equips you with marketable skills such as project management, organisation and teamworking.

An exciting part of your degree is your research project, where you undertake a piece of original research on a subject of your choice. This may be carried out in the lab, at one of the University's farms or at an animal centre. The International Relations pathway is a specialism on the Cross-Cultural Communication MA. It lets you study international relations with intercultural communication. You'll gain a comprehensive grounding in the approaches to understanding contemporary international politics and society.

Control Systems Stream

You'll gain a thorough understanding of key areas, including:

• AC and DC electric drives systems
• Analyse and design control systems for a wide range of electric drive applications
• Construct and critically test drive simulation studies in the area of control of electric drives
• Gain insight and advanced understanding of modern controller design, emerging intelligent control methods, and mitigation techniques for problems associated in real-life design

Mechatronics Stream

Focusing on the systems and design aspects of mechatronics you'll:

• Gain knowledge and understanding of the operating characteristics and design of a range of sensors and motors. This includes their integration into appropriate control systems within a specific mechanical design
• Understand key mechatronic concepts and their specific applications to the robust design of mobile robotic systems. This will provide you with skills to design, develop and operate a functional mobile robot mechatronic system

This advanced course delivers an understanding of Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (ES-IoT) and their enabling technologies.

Our Embedded Systems and the Internet of Things (IoT) course is industry-focused. It is tailored to meet the demands of companies that create mobile electronic equipment, which interfaces with wireless networks and applications.

Taught by world-leading academics and researchers, you'll develop your knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering. You'll focus on the fast-changing area of embedded digital systems for communication and control.

Building on a core of marketing and management modules in Stage 1, you can then strike your own balance between the two disciplines by choosing from modules such as consumer behaviour, product development and business information systems.

All our degrees focus on three core areas – pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics – and you have the flexibility to tailor the combination of these to suit your interests.

On this degree, you will select mostly mathematics modules in the later stages. These include:
