Our BSc Geography degree explores the natural environment and the key challenges we face in moving towards a more sustainable world.

This flexible degree is informed by the research of our world-leading academics and spans the breadth of the discipline. You don’t need to decide between human and physical geography and can tailor your degree to your interests. This enables you to become a specialist in your chosen field, or remain active across the Geographic terrain.

You can select from dozens of Geography modules. These range from Glacial Environments, and River Catchment Dynamics, to Geographies of Sustainable Production and Consumption, and Global Environmental Change.

This three-year degree will equip you with the business and language skills you'll need to operate in a globally connected, locally rooted, and culturally complex business environment.

Studying in the very heart of a region of innovators, you'll be able to choose from several different pathways depending on your language level. You'll develop core business skills, including human resource management, finance, and strategy, alongside French, German or Spanish.

This master's in Planning and Environment Research will suit those looking to specialise in environmental or landscape planning research.

The course will prepare you for a PhD in the field of environmental/ landscape planning. It will equip you with the knowledge, skills and understanding to pursue a research career. You'll develop a range of strong research skills including data collection and analysis. These skills will be relevant to a variety of organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

You'll gain an understanding of a range of contemporary and specialised issues in environmental planning research.

The course is recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) under the 1+3 system (master's plus PhD) for postgraduate studies. This provides UK students with a route to ESRC-funded doctoral study.

Having already performed very well in A level Geography, you'll continue to build a firm foundation of knowledge and skills in Stage 1, enabling you to thrive in the final stages. The turning point of the degree is a residential field course module in Stage 2.

Gain high-quality translation and interpreting skills through this Translating and Interpreting MA. You'll work with Chinese and English languages and receive professional and academic training.

This master's in translation and interpreting uses English and Chinese as working languages.

This course has two stages. Each stage lasts one year. You can either:

• Join the course at Stage 1 and follow the two-year course
• Or join at Stage 2 and follow the one-year course (this depends on your previous qualifications and experience)

Stage 1 is made up of compulsory modules. You'll gain a thorough grounding in translation and interpreting skills and techniques.

By the end of Stage 2 you'll have acquired high-quality translation and interpreting skills. This master's prepares you for translation or interpreting careers in fields such as:
