The study of heritage is vital for understanding our sense of identity and place. Heritage has widespread meaning; past, present and future narratives are interwoven with both physical features (landscapes, buildings, structures, monuments and objects), and more intangible practices based on oral traditions and living memory that enliven and enrich cultural experience (stories, traditions, crafts, food, dance, music and poetry).

The programme will span local, regional and global heritage, investigating new methods, and the value of heritage and for contemporary society across many cultural contexts. The programme is at the forefront of initiatives that recognise the importance of heritage and culture to future social cohesion and economic success by building a meaningful understanding of our diverse pasts.

In addition to vocational skills, studying Heritage and Archaeology will give you a broad range of transferable skills including problem solving, team working, and independent research, preparing you for a wide variety of careers, future study and research. This three-year Virtual and Augmented Reality degree programme is one of the first of its kind in the UK.

The MA in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies provides an advanced understanding of the inter-relationships between conflict, development, security, and governance in developing, fragile, transitional and/or conflict affected regions and countries. You’ll be equipped to work across many sectors including:

This programme is designed for students wishing to develop knowledge and skills specifically relevant to sport and exercise settings, as well as more traditional physiotherapy environments.

Graduates gain a professional Master's qualification in physiotherapy, opening up a range of career opportunities as a physiotherapist in the sport, exercise and health and wellbeing sectors. It also provides foundation for further research study.

MPhysiotherapy Sport and Exercise Medicine contains all the modules from the University’s highly regarded BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme. This curriculum is extended with additional sport and exercise specific modules and enhanced research.

You will undertake a range of placements in professional and amateur sport settings, including the University's Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation Clinic, as well other physiotherapy settings.

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science for Cyber Security blends core computer science disciplines with specialist areas of cyber security such as:

This course builds knowledge and skills in the planning and management of development projects and programmes. It is designed to deepen critical understanding of the strategies, processes, techniques and issues involved in taking ideas for development and turning them into practical realities with identifiable outcomes and benefits.
