The University of Bradford and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust have partnered to establish an off-site nursing school and degree programme at Dewsbury and District Hospital.

The school aims to boost nursing recruitment for the Trust and widen degree course participation in the local area by offering our existing pre-registration BSc (Hons) Nursing programme in Adult Nursing.

Clinical practice experience makes up 50% of time on this three year programme.

You will gain a variety of experience within the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. There may also be an opportunity for you to practice abroad.

Fundamental knowledge and skills will be learnt and practiced first, before you develop specific in-depth knowledge and skills to meet complex health needs of people.

It is envisaged that by 2020 more than 50 billion devices, or things, around the globe will be connected to the Internet - making Internet of Things (IoT) a mainstream technology.

Smart Cities, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Self-Driving cars, Smart Grids, Smart Homes and Buildings, Smart Infrastructure, Smart Agriculture, Smart Health, Smart Mobility are some of the application areas driving the phenomenal growth of IoT.

Businesses are already exploring how to adopt IoT for their operations, but they lack IoT skills and knowledge among employees and management.

This unique full-time Master's programme is designed by experts in the field with wealth of research and development experience in IoT to address this shortage of professionally qualified specialists.

This new MA in Archaeology and Identity at the University of Bradford combines theoretical archaeological interpretation with cutting-edge scientific archaeology.

Drawing on the skeletal collections and world-leading expertise at the School of Archaeological and Forensic Sciences, the MA explores social interpretation of remains.

Learners will have opportunities to explore a range of archaeological periods and regions, as well as focusing on evidence from mortuary archaeology. Modules will also enable the study of artefacts, exploring biographies of objects along with material properties.

The programme will equip you to critically-engage with a diverse range of material, as well as explore the sociopolicitical contexts of interpretations of the past and the role of the past in the present.

This programme prepares you for a career in the criminal justice sector - in the criminal justice system or in the wider field of offending behaviour.

You’ll benefit from high quality criminology teaching, and also build a strong understanding of the social psychology behind criminal justice and offending behaviour.

You’ll gain invaluable experience of working in the criminal justice sector; our Sociology and Criminology Division has strong links with industry, business and related socio-legal professions meaning you’ll benefit from unique placement opportunities.

On graduation you’ll have a wide range of career opportunities open to you, as well as the ability to undertake further study in areas such as law or psychology.

This degree explores how archaeological techniques and the analysis of human remains are used in a forensic (medico-legal) context.

You will gain a full grounding in archaeological excavation, surveying and recording of crime scenes.

In addition, you will also learn about human anatomy and anthropological analysis of human remains, including age, sex, ancestry assessment and the analysis and interpretation of trauma.

Specialist modules will allow you to understand how scientific techniques are used to build up a biological profile of unidentified remains; processes of decomposition (and preservation) of human tissues and associated materials; trauma analysis; and forensic identification of living people.

You'll also gain an understanding of scientific principles and how data should be presented in a legal context.
