BSc Industrial Economics with Insurance will help you discover the answers to these questions and more, giving you an understanding of the complex relationships between economics and global business practices. Cyberphysical systems integrate computation with physical objects and processes. Examples of cyberphysical systems are:

• 'Smart' devices in the home such as a smart meter or fridge
• Voice assistant devices
• Driverless vehicles
• Medical monitoring equipment
• Wearable devices
• Robotic assistants

Our course is designed for students with a background in computer science or a related field with analytical skills. You'll learn the principles of integrated system design and computational and cyberphysical systems methods and tools. Core modules will broaden your knowledge in key topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics and cybersecurity.

During the summer period, you will undertake an individual research project. This could be software-based or research-based. Collaboration with business, industry, and other outside bodies is encouraged.

On BSc International Management, you’ll learn about key principles including innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability that underpin business and management across the globe. You’ll study real organisations to gain a deep knowledge of management processes. Artificial intelligence is changing our homes, workplaces and lifestyles. Our course lets you explore this subject with optional modules in user experience design, autonomous systems, and machine learning.

You'll take part in a group project in year two which prepares you for creating the computer systems of the future. Many projects are in collaboration with industry. Previous students have worked with Capital One, Experian, IBM and UniDays. This is great for your CV and can help you make contacts ready for when you start your career.

The fourth year includes masters-level modules. You have full choice on what you'll study. You could focus on a programming project, look at advanced algorithms or be a STEM ambassador in schools.
