This is a conversion course which is not designed for students with an extensive background in marketing. If your undergraduate degree contains modules with a marketing focus, please be aware that it is highly likely there will be overlap with your prior study. Human computer interaction specialises in understanding the relationship between people and digital technologies. 

Global industries are developing user research and design to improve their products and services. There is an increasing demand for graduates in this innovative field. You will learn how to develop software and systems to better respond to the needs of customers, clients and users.

This interdisciplinary masters is taught by academics from the School of Computer Science and the Department of Engineering. You will study core modules that cover topics including mixed reality and user experience (UX) design. Optional modules give you the flexibility to study specialist areas such as games software and virtual reality.

All students will undertake an individual research project. This can be in collaboration with an industry partner or with one of our research groups: the Mixed Reality Laboratory and Human Factors lab.

Past projects have covered topics such as; augmented reality, location based services, virtual reality and voice interfaces.

Designed specifically for students from a non-clinical background, Applied Sport and Exercise Medicine allows you to specialise in the theory of managing sports injuries and illnesses, exploring the relationship between exercise and health, and get real life experience in the field.

As part of the course you'll receive special training courses to allow you to do CPR and first aid as well as taping and sports massage. 

We want you to be able to go where you want to in your career, whether that be working in a sports team or doing research. We'll help you get there with placements at real sporting events throughout your time with us and teaching from leading clinicians, research scientists, and sports and exercise medicine experts.
