Artificial intelligence is changing our homes, workplaces and lifestyles. Our course lets you explore this subject with optional modules in user experience design, autonomous systems, and machine learning.

You'll take part in a group project in year two which prepares you for creating the computer systems of the future. Many projects are in collaboration with industry. The fourth year includes masters-level modules. You have full choice on what you'll study. You could focus on a programming project, look at advanced algorithms or be a STEM ambassador in schools.

On BSc Management, you’ll learn about key principles including innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability that underpin business and management across the globe. You’ll study real organisations to gain a strong business acumen and knowledge of management processes. You can follow your individual interests and career aspirations by selecting from optional modules alongside your core subjects.

You could also really enhance your CV by opting for a work placement year at a company where you can be at the front line of business and management.

There's also the opportunity to gain a global perspective by studying abroad at our own campuses in China or Malaysia, or at a partner institution in countries including Australia, Sweden and the USA.

Our MA Digital Teaching and Learning course aims to strengthen your understanding of learning in the digital age and explore how digital technology can transform the teaching and learning experience.

This course increases your knowledge of digital technologies as resources for learning. You will evaluate the use of such technologies in educational contexts and assess how new learning technology can be implemented at a variety of levels in both formal and informal education.

You will also analyse contemporary ideas and theories about learning from both cognitive and socio-cultural perspectives, then consider these against the wider social debates that impact on technology enhanced learning.

It is ideal for working teachers who want to gain an advanced understanding of how digital technologies could be used in the classroom, or wish to go onto a PhD.

This course is informed by the work of the Learning Sciences Research Institute and draws on expertise from psychology, computer science and education. It provides a unique perspective on the theories that underpin successful learning, teaching and innovation within the fast-moving digital world.

You’ll be able to challenge educational practices and debate issues such as equality in education, learning in the digital age, and the ways in which cognition and development affect the way people learn. The degree covers perspectives from disciplines such as politics, history, sociology, philosophy and psychology.

The placement module provides an excellent opportunity to develop your understanding of educational theories in a practical setting, and will strengthen your CV. You could also have the chance to study abroad for a semester at our Malaysia campus.

Accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT), our BSc Sport Rehabilitation develops your practical skills to work with patients and athletes of all ages to rehabilitate them following injury.

We are committed to developing sport rehabilitators within a supportive, nurturing environment. You will work across key areas of injury prevention, health, wellbeing and sporting performances, designing and implementing exercise and rehabilitation programmes for your clients.

The benefit of this course is you'll spend your third year abroad. You could be studying in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand or Singapore.

Cyberphysical systems integrate computation with physical objects and processes. Examples of cyberphysical systems are:

• 'Smart' devices in the home such as a smart meter or fridge
• Voice assistant devices
• Driverless vehicles
• Medical monitoring equipment
• Wearable devices
• Robotic assistants

Our course is designed for students with a background in computer science or a related field with analytical skills. You'll learn the principles of integrated system design and computational and cyberphysical systems methods and tools. Core modules will broaden your knowledge in key topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics and cybersecurity.

During the summer period, you will undertake an individual research project. This could be software-based or research-based. Collaboration with business, industry, and other outside bodies is encouraged.
