The fourth year includes masters-level modules. You have full choice on what you'll study. You could focus on a programming project, look at advanced algorithms or be a STEM ambassador in schools.

You'll learn about how we motivate employees, how we train them, how we recruit, how we design jobs, how we assess performance, how we manage well-being, how we lead, how we manage organisational change, and more. We also feature a module on managing diversity in the workplace. At Nottingham, we make sure the course has a practical focus and aim to improve your skills as a practitioner. That's why you'll also learn about consultancy as part of your studies.

You'll also get a good grasp on research methods applicable to the workplace, something that is particularly valuable to future employers. You'll be taught by research-active experts in the field, some of whom completed their own MScs at Nottingham.

By the end of the course, you should be ready to apply what you've learned to the real world of work.

On BSc Management, you’ll learn about key principles including innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability that underpin business and management across the globe. You’ll study real organisations to gain a strong business acumen and knowledge of management processes. There's also the opportunity to gain a global perspective by studying abroad at our own campuses in China or Malaysia, or at a partner institution in countries including Australia, Sweden and the USA.

You can fast-track your accounting career with our BSc Accountancy Flying Start degree. It's been developed in partnership with ICAEW and PwC, where you’ll spend three to four months on paid work placement in your second, third and fourth years, assisting on real client work.

You’ll get a solid grounding in fundamental disciplines including business finance, financial and management accounting, and business law. In addition, many of the modules you will study carry accreditation towards the ACA accountancy qualification.

You can follow your individual interests and career aspirations by selecting from optional modules alongside your core subjects. You could choose from areas such as entrepreneurship, risk management and corporate governance.
