Combine civil engineering with architecture, and discover their importance for developing sustainable, urban areas. If you're following a career in structural engineering design, this course is for you. You'll focus your studies on structures, materials and construction processes. You’ll learn key design and manufacturing skills and gain a solid understanding of both subjects.

The first 2 years of this MEng Civil Engineering and Architecture degree are the same as our other civil engineering courses. You'll cover mechanics, materials, thermofluids and construction management. In the third year you’ll specialise in civil engineering with a focus on urban design.

From sustainable energy generation to the use of electric vehicles, big changes in the way we produce and use power are creating exciting challenges for today’s electrical engineers.

Electrical engineering is about the generation and control of electricity, its distribution for use in homes and industry, and the design of large-scale machinery.

You’ll study technologies of:

Fuel your fascination for space and the technologies used to investigate it. On this MPhys Physics with Space Science degree you’ll explore a wide range of subjects, from the essentials of astronomy through to satellite design and space weather. You’ll also benefit from the latest research.

With the global space market set to almost double by 2030, your skills will be in high demand. This degree will also prepare you for further study at PhD level.

You’ll examine phenomena that can only be monitored from space, such as geomagnetic storms and solar wind, and combine your physics knowledge with space engineering principles to learn about spacecraft design.

We're a designated university for the Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme (DTUS).

Study our full-time 2 year audiology master’s with clinical placement and combine scientific learning with practical training. Our 3 year course offers a part-time clinical placement over 2 years.
