This course will help you to develop an understanding of how and why human resource policies and practices differ across the world. You'll examine how international companies address these challenges.

Biochemistry is the study of the composition, metabolism and function of biological systems at a molecular level. Biochemistry and the related field of molecular biology provide important advances in understanding the molecular basis of life and its role in the disease process.

Pharmacology is the study of how drugs and other chemicals affect the body in health and disease. This area explores the development of new and improved medicines and the treatment of disease.

The opportunity to choose specific degree combinations will allow you to go into specialist biomedical science areas such as neuroscience, cardiovascular research, immunopharmacology, industrial immunology, drug research, biochemistry, microbiology and bacteriology.

This unique course, running since 2008 – the first of its kind in Europe – meets the needs of graduate students who want to contribute to environmental improvement and the circular economy, and learn how to identify and evaluate business opportunities. Students are accepted from all backgrounds (social sciences, arts, engineering, law, chemistry, maths, physics, geology, biology and business).

The course is suitable for anyone who'd like to refocus their career on environmental or sustainable entrepreneurship. You'll develop skills to enable you to launch new ventures, strategies, products and technologies that address society's environmental and natural resource problems. It's a collaboration between the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship.

The program provides you with practical knowledge of offshore floating systems. You’ll look at their conceptions, design and installation. You’ll also gain a sound basis of mathematical and engineering fundamentals.

With the world-wide search for offshore oil and gas moving into increasingly hostile areas of ocean and deep and ultra-deep water, floating systems are becoming more widely used. Floating systems must be designed and built to withstand harsh environments with innovative methods and techniques being adopted to develop robust as well as economically efficient and safe structures. In meeting these challenges, concern for the environment is of increasing importance.
