Production engineers and managers do not just create technological solutions though, they also motivate, organise and interact with others to make sure products and services are provided when and where customers’ needs exist.

The demand industry’s need for those skilled in this area continues to increase as the demand for quicker turnaround times, to meet the requirements of increasing global customers and to provide enhanced online shopping and service experiences grows progresses.

Manufacturing Engineering with Management blends a more technical engineering focus (such as mechanics, manufacturing, electronics, maths, programming, engineering calculations of a products design) with production and management principles, and technology such as operational improvement and quality management.

This is integrated with manufacturing processes, design, CAD, rapid prototyping and digital prototyping technologies, software and practical skills to turn the design and production process into reality which is fundamental to global market success. Considerations include environmental impact, reducing waste and increasing outputs to meet targets.

Accreditation

• Our Manufacturing Engineering with Management degree has been awarded academic accreditation from two institutes. This demonstrates the degree meets the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC) as outlined by the Accreditation of Higher Education Programmes (AHEP).
• This accreditation is achieved through a panel of trained and expert accreditors looking closely at our programme’s content and delivery, including its relevance, coherence, challenge, assessment, staffing, quality assurance and resources.
• The Accreditors also monitor that the programme is continually improving and in line with the latest best practice, providing assurance to our students that they are getting a relevant and quality degree.

This joint degree is offered in partnership with Strathclyde Business School.

You’ll develop mathematical and statistical expertise at the same time as completing a fully-accredited Accounting degree. This course could lead to training for membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland.

Marine vehicles have developed dramatically in recent years. Lighter, faster, stronger, greener and safer vehicles are being designed and built using advanced materials and technology combined with creative design engineering.

This course creates designers with all the core skills of ship design, construction, operation and maintenance. They also have a particular specialisation in the creative design and engineering of high performance leisure and commercial vehicles, including sailing and power yachts, fast ferries, hydrofoils, hovercraft, fishing boats and the concept designs of the future.

All our courses offer you the chance to take classes in specialist subjects such as high performance marine vehicles, marine engineering or ocean engineering.

The MSc in Cancer Therapies is unique in the UK. It's a multifaceted course and the only one which combines a focus on cancer biology, drug discovery, formulation and delivery with radiation biology.
