The Department of Marketing at Strathclyde is recognised as one of the leading centres of marketing education and research in the UK.

In psychology, you’ll study human behaviour. Psychological research is motivated by the desire to understand both general behaviour (how we learn, remember, co-ordinate our actions and interact with others) and the reason for the differences between individuals such as personality or intelligence.

This course explores the frontiers of science on the nanoscale. It provides a strong grounding in basic nanoscience before progressing to advanced topics.

Taught classes have been developed from the many years of nanoscience research at the University in areas such as:

• Nanoscale imaging
• Nanoparticle fabrication and functionalisation
• Chemical physics
• Computational modelling of the nanoworld

In this course, you’ll study core chemistry classes blended with specialist courses on disease targets, design of selectively-acting prototype drugs, synthetic and mimetic strategies in producing drug prototypes, and the refinement of promising compounds.

Graduates of this course have excellent opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry as well as all the usual careers open to a professionally-accredited chemist.

You can study at a European university for one year of your degree. You can also spend your placement year abroad.
