Overview
In the applied artificial intelligence masters program, graduate students develop a strong background in the theoretical foundations and algorithm development in artificial intelligence and deep learning with a thorough understanding of a variety of engineering applications. Students will learn a blend of software and hardware skills that are applicable across multiple engineering domains.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.

The bioengineering master’s program is tailored for students who have a strong science background. Stevens also offers this program to current medical professionals who have a vested interest in biomaterials and tissue engineering research.
The bioengineering master’s program prepares students to enter the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device or life science industries. It will also prepare them for a Ph.D. in biology, bioengineering or related fields as well as other professional health careers.
This interdisciplinary program focuses on tissue engineering, biomaterials and regenerative medicine methods to improve healthcare.
