The hospitality administration management AA pathway degree is ideal for students who want to pursue Bachelor's degrees in the field of hospitality. It allows a you the ability to complete the 36 hours of general education credits, while meeting the common prerequisite requirements for university admission into the hospitality administration program.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The Counseling and Human Services AS degree program prepares you to work in the life-changing fields of counseling, social work, human services, and rehabilitation. As a counseling and human services practitioner, you may provide individual and group counseling, lead workshops, offer training in daily living skills, assist with vocational planning, organize group activities, deliver case management services, and complete records and reports, often under the supervision of an advanced mental health professional. You may also act as a mediator between clients and service agencies, refer clients to appropriate community facilities and advocate for clients before local service providers and government agencies.

The computer information technology AS degree prepares you for jobs such as PC support specialist, help desk specialist, microcomputer specialist, software specialist and information systems specialist.

The restaurant management AS degree prepares you for employment as manager of a restaurant, café, coffee shop, cafeteria or lunchroom, bar, or similar establishments. Or you may pursue a career as a food and beverage manager, dining room supervisor, fast food service manager, or catering professional. This program also provides supplemental training for those already working in these areas.

Coursework includes the management of selling, preparing, storing, promoting, displaying, serving food, and providing customer service.

Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation, this program provides hands-on experiences in a simulated job environment with industry equipment, supplies and standards.

The building construction AA pathway degree is for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree in building construction, development, contracting or related fields. Careers include construction manager, contractor, building inspector, owning or managing a construction firm, and a variety of jobs within the construction industry.

The Building Construction specific courses are only offered on the Dale Mabry campus.

The HCC Mathematics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and calculus I, II & III.

Courses offered by the mathematics department promote the ability to reason quantitatively in a variety of ways. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

Accounting technology prepares you for employment as an accountant or accounting paraprofessional in occupations requiring analysis, evaluation, theory, and design. The coursework focuses on basic accounting functions as well as skills common to several fields of business, including finance, business law, and general business topics.

Cybersecurity Operations prepares students for a career as a member of a Security Operations Center (SOC). Students will learn how to become the first line of defense by monitoring, detecting, and analyzing security breaches. They will also learn to  work with other team members to respond and mitigate security type events.
