Hofstra's religion program encompasses an introspective look at a wide range of rituals and customs.

Forensic Linguistics, the scientific study of language, is a vital investigative tool for law enforcement and intelligence experts in the United States and around the world. The Master of Arts (MA) in Forensic Linguistics, the first program of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, will teach you how to use a linguist’s core tools, including phonetics, syntax, semantics and sociolinguistics, to analyze language in legal and other real-world settings. Learn from brilliant scholars who have worked with the FBI and consulted on an extensive array of criminal cases and counterterrorism efforts. Our program combines a broad-based academic experience with applied workshops and internship opportunities working on ongoing cases.

Fine Arts

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

Students in the BA in Economics program gain a deeper understanding of economic theories and their effect on society, often as a precursor to a government, academic, or consulting career. The BA is great preparation for graduate study in law or business administration.

Accounting
The MBA in Accounting program prepares students for managerial positions in various types of organizations. The program builds on core business competencies and functional specialization to impart to its students decision analysis skills and a strategic perspective of business problems. This program is not intended to include sufficient course work in accounting and taxation to qualify students for licensure as certified public accountants. Students intending to pursue licensure may need to supplement the program requirements with other accounting, business, legal studies, and tax courses, taken under advisement.

Community Health
Community Health majors learn about the biological, social, and behavioral factors affecting public health, and examine the ethical and legal issues in modern-day health care. You’ll study drug and alcohol abuse, the sexual health life cycle, and chronic and communicable diseases, and learn how to assess individual and community health needs so you can plan, implement, and evaluate community health programs.

Environmental Resources
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources is the application of geology and the natural sciences to issues of environmental sustainability, natural resource management, resource development, and conservation. This degree prepares students for careers in environmental geology, environmental science, resource management, environmental law, and environmental regulation.

The Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) gives practicing engineers the competitive edge necessary to advance to management positions in leading engineering and technology firms nationwide.

Graduates of the program will have the skills necessary to pursue successful careers as engineering managers, project engineers, and product engineers in government agencies and tech-based manufacturing and service firms.

The major concentration enables students to establish a strong base of specialized knowledge in one of the areas of study represented in the Zarb School of Business. This complements the skills in the various functional areas of business, as well as the professional leadership and management orientation.

The Bachelor of Arts in Audio/Radio Production and Studies combines courses in the history and theory of the audio medium with a broad range of production-oriented courses that put an emphasis on the development, creation, marketing, and distribution of a wide variety of audio content.
