Forensic Linguistics, the scientific study of language, is a vital investigative tool for law enforcement and intelligence experts in the United States and around the world. The Master of Arts (MA) in Forensic Linguistics, the first program of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, will teach you how to use a linguist’s core tools, including phonetics, syntax, semantics and sociolinguistics, to analyze language in legal and other real-world settings. Learn from brilliant scholars who have worked with the FBI and consulted on an extensive array of criminal cases and counterterrorism efforts. Our program combines a broad-based academic experience with applied workshops and internship opportunities working on ongoing cases.

Creative Writing and Literature

The creative writing concentration is for serious writers ready to immerse themselves in their craft. Classes are intimate and interactive, led by our faculty's accomplished poets, playwrights, and fiction and nonfiction writers.

The Bachelor of Science in Geology is designed for students who want to pursue graduate studies or professional employment in geology, environmental consulting, geotechnical consulting, or a related scientific discipline. In addition to geology courses, the BS requires additional coursework in physics, biology, chemistry, math, and computer science.

Jewish Studies
Jewish studies courses explore all dimensions of Jewish life – past and present. Jewish studies majors look closely at post-Holocaust life and thought, Judaism and global politics, anti-Semitism, and other forms of racism. Students may focus on Jewish history throughout the world, the intercultural facets of diverse Jewish populations, interfaith dimensions, and Judaism and sexuality. They may look at how Jewish culture intersects with the media and the arts, including film, literature, television, theater, and the internet.

In the Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences program, you will develop the fundamental skills to help people who suffer from communication disorders, and prepare for advanced study to become a speech-language pathologist or audiologist who is licensed to work in settings such as schools, hospitals, rehab centers, and private practice.
