The major concentration enables students to establish a strong base of specialized knowledge in one of the areas of study represented in the Zarb School of Business. This complements the skills in the various functional areas of business, as well as the professional leadership and management orientation.

Hofstra University's Department of Accounting, Taxation and Legal Studies in Business offers a Master of Science (MS) in Accounting. The MS program prepares business students for licensure in New York State.

The BA in Anthropology includes classes in four fields of study: physical anthropology (also known as biological anthropology), archaeology, linguistic anthropology, and cultural anthropology. Students can take courses such as Medical Anthropology; Sex, Gender, and Sexuality Cross-Culturally; Archaeology; Forensic Anthropology; and Food & Culture.

Build advanced expertise in assessment and research, program planning, evaluation, and policy development and get experience doing fieldwork with community organizations addressing pressing public health issues at the local, regional, and national level. The BA in Television Production and Studies focuses on the creative side of the television industry, from scriptwriting and editing to directing and producing. Computer Science

The BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE gives students a solid foundation in computer science. Fewer required courses in the major and more electives allow students to pursue minors and a second major in other departments. Students may pursue a general track or an individual track that has a sequence of two independent study courses specially designed in collaboration with a faculty member.
