Philosophy
The BS in Philosophy degree is focused on philosophical areas that are relevant to another professional, technical or scientific discipline. This degree differs from the BA program primarily because it requires students to complete more requirements in a discipline outside philosophy, either through a double major or a minor.

The BS in Video, Television, and Business combines an in-depth overview of television production and industry standards with coursework in legal issues, contracts, marketing, and management. This program will give students a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of cybersecurity; provide practical applications of risk management procedures in organizations; develop incident response plans for business continuity; design security structures for an organization and provide a legal framework for security policy. Potential career fields include: cybersecurity governance and policy; data protection and information security.

Hofstra's Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an actuarial science option, or BS in Mathematical Finance can be the ideal starting point for those mathematics majors interested in applying their skills to a career in business and industry.
