The Horticulture and Landscape Management sequence includes courses in horticultural management and business operations. Graduates of the Horticulture and Landscape Management sequence are employed nationwide in the landscape design/build/maintenance, turf grass, greenhouse and nursery industries.

Geographers have specific and valuable skills to tackle important societal challenges facing our planet. Climate change, population pressures, geopolitical conflicts, and natural disasters all need the expertise of geographers.

Geographers are citizens of the world. When solving problems, they value diversity, inclusiveness, and international perspectives.

The Technology Education program prepares graduates to advance as technology education teachers in the public secondary schools.

The Technology Education sequence is not a teacher certification program. Certified teachers pursue the degree for professional development. Non-certified students also may pursue the master's in conjunction with other courses required for teacher certification.

Biology - Physiology, Neuroscience, and Behavior
Majors selecting this sequence will receive broad training in Physiology, Neuroscience and Behavior. This sequence is designed for students seeking careers that involve basic scientific and applied aspects of behavior, physiology and neuroscience.

This sequence will also prepare students for graduate studies in neuroscience, physiology and animal behavior and related fields, and with additional coursework, students can meet the requirements to apply to veterinary and health professional schools.

Music - Music Performance
Master of Music in Performance students are afforded intensive applied study with a professionally accomplished artist-teacher. Performance degrees are offered in all orchestral and band instruments, as well as in piano, guitar, and voice.

The MM in Performance prepares you for a career in:

Food and Nutrition Management
The Food and Nutrition Management program at llinois State covers the broad field of nutrition with a special focus on the food and beverage industry, rather than science. The program combines business and management principles with food service and hospitality skills.

 The Risk Management and Insurance major at Illinois State University is a premier, nationally known program that prepares students for a number of different careers in insurance and risk management. The major prepares students to manage a variety of traditional and emerging risks, as well as explore different treatment options including the use of insurance and other risk transfer solutions.

Biomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on living systems.

The graduate program studies how biomechanics relate to performance enhancement and injury prevention. Students apply what they learn and serve as movement analysts in sports and workplaces. At the end of the program, they complete a thesis, independent study, or professional practice.

Depending on individual career aspirations, completion of the Biomechanics sequence prepares a student for future study at the doctoral level, for employment as a research assistant with a corporate entity, or to serve as a member of a workplace safety team.

Political Communication is concerned with being actively engaged with local, regional, state, national, and international issues and how the power of information, persuasion, and strategic message design can be used to understand and affect outcomes at those levels, particularly in the area of governance and governmental and societal behavior. Students become knowledgeable and skilled in the use of political messages to promote causes, candidates, campaigns, etc.

Biochemistry
The course framework for the Biochemistry program provides a solid foundation necessary for advanced study in medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, chemistry and biology, as well as forming the basis for entry-level positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries. While the degree requirements may satisfy many professional or graduate programs, it is important to consult the admission requirements as early as possible for the particular programs at schools to which the individual is likely to apply. Additional coursework may be taken as electives which may be applicable to postgraduate work.
