The Horticulture and Landscape Management sequence includes courses in horticultural management and business operations. Graduates of the Horticulture and Landscape Management sequence are employed nationwide in the landscape design/build/maintenance, turf grass, greenhouse and nursery industries.

Mathematics - Statistics
Statistics is the science and art of making inferences from data, under conditions of uncertainty. The practice of Statistics requires not only the understanding of the statistical techniques, but also understanding of the problem requiring statistical analysis, whether it is in the liberal arts, the sciences, health sciences, or business.

The Master of Music in String Pedagogy prepares students to become highly qualified and knowledgeable string teachers who will be prepared to pursue a career in teaching strings in a variety of settings or pursue a doctoral degree.

 The curriculum includes:

• String pedagogy and literature
• Professional practice
• Applied lessons on primary and secondary stringed instruments)
• And core music courses, i.e. music theory, history, and research methods
• Electives - chamber music, non-degree recitals, etc.

 String Pedagogy students will gain critical professional practice experience working in the nationally recognized ISU String Project (large group, small group, and private lessons) as well as through teaching the MusicScores! curriculum at local Head Start preschool sites.

Studio Arts Painting
The Wonsook Kim School of Art offers a comprehensive list of sequence options for a student interested in Studio Arts. The following are offered as areas of specialization: Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Glass, Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video, and Wood / Metal Design.

Following a first year foundations curriculum, students can choose a sequence within an individual studio. Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. The cohesive sequencing of courses within each studio area allows the student to build skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work in that field of exploration.

Art - Graphic Design
Graphic Design at Illinois State fosters a collaborative environment engaging you with print and emerging digital media. Our program prepares you to contribute to positive change for the betterment of society.

Students graduating from the Graphic Design program can pursue successful careers in client-based design or self-initiated research. You'll have opportunities to work at design studios, advertising agencies, and diverse corporations or institutions.

Our alumni continue to be a part of the Wonsook Kim School of Art after graduation and we continue to harness professional relationships and networking connections between them and our current students through social media and CrossPlatform, the Graphic Design student club.

Actuarial Science
The Actuarial Program at Illinois State University is a Center for Actuarial Excellence, one of the first nine academic programs in the United States to receive that recognition in 2009, and the first one in the State of Illinois. It is one of the leading actuarial programs in the United States, offering an undergraduate Bachelor degree, and a graduate Master degree. The Spanish program at Illinois State University takes pride in offering small classes where students receive individualized attention and training in all aspects of language proficiency. Just as important, our undergraduates develop critical thinking skills and appreciation for diversity as they take courses in Hispanic cultures and literatures, as well as Spanish linguistics.

Our slate of offerings includes a sturdy base of fundamentals, on which students build their own program from a selection of electives of most interest to them. We also provide community-based service learning experiences and opportunities to participate in award-winning student organizations like our Spanish Club and Sigma Delta Pi, Illinois State's chapter of the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society.

The Master of Music in Music Therapy is designed to produce highly qualified and knowledgeable music therapists who have advanced training in music and its therapeutic applications. Students take classes in advanced study in music, the behavioral sciences, music therapy theory and application, and research methodology.

An MM in music therapy qualifies individuals for:

• Supervisory or coordinator positions in arts therapies
• College/university entry-level music therapy positions
• Producing and disseminating scholarly work in music therapy through presentations/publications

Graduate students with an undergraduate degree in music, may simultaneously take undergraduate deficiency courses in music therapy while pursuing a Master's degree.
