Spanish Teacher Education
Illinois State's award-winning and nationally recognized Spanish Teacher Education major prepares graduates for K-12 teaching, while offering a dynamic interdisciplinary approach for exploring the diverse Spanish-speaking world.

Language coursework prepares students to achieve Advanced-Low or higher proficiency, an endeavor supported by study abroad programs in Chile, Panama, and Spain. Studio Arts Sculpture
The Wonsook Kim School of Art offers a comprehensive list of sequence options for a student interested in Studio Arts. The following are offered as areas of specialization: Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Glass, Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video, and Wood / Metal Design.

Following a first year foundations curriculum, students can choose a sequence within an individual studio. Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. The cohesive sequencing of courses within each studio area allows the student to build skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work in that field of exploration.

We hear original music content everywhere via video games, films, television shows, or online media. Students interested in creating original music composition content for new media such as these should major in New Media Composition.

Students take classes from faculty of both the School of Music and the Creative Technologies Program. They will have the opportunity to have original compositions for acoustic instruments read by large ensembles such as the Illinois State University Symphony Orchestra, Illinois State University Wind Symphony, and the Illinois State University choral ensembles. In addition, they will take courses from Creative Technologies faculty on the latest technology topics in sound editing, sound design, and virtual reality programming. 

New Media Composition students are able to receive readings and performances by world-class guest artists and student ensembles and work with Creative Technologies faculty on cutting edge technology projects in sound design, virtual reality environment design, and multi-media composition.

The Professional Sales sequence exposes students to the latest theories and practice in sales education, research, and the profession. Students complete three required courses in marketing and two required and three elective courses in professional sales. The program incorporates existing personal selling and sales management courses, and offers several specialized classes including: Key Account and Relationship Management, Professional Sales Planning and Analysis, and Advanced Professional Selling and Negotiation.

Web Computing is a sequence in the Computer Science major.
