Master of Science in Business
The Oregon State graduate business programs are committed to educating our students to be the kind of people we want to work for – people who work hard, earn success and lead by example as innovative, socially responsible and globally minded business people.

The management curriculum helps prepare students for careers as managers and supervisors in goods-producing and service enterprises. Students obtain a solid grounding in management of systems, personnel and quality. The integrative focus of the program also provides excellent preparation for graduate-level studies in law, urban and regional planning, public services administration, and health care administration. Management is the process of planning, organizing, leading and controlling all that encompasses human, material and financial resources in an organizational environment. A management degree means that you have learned the concepts of getting things done through others within organizations.

Business Administration
The business administration degree provides students with a broad overview of business; basic skills in accounting and quantitative methods; an understanding of the legal and social environment of business; a background in management and organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and operations management; an understanding of the entrepreneurial process; and the opportunity to integrate course work and further develop decision-making skills through the analysis of business cases.

Biology
The Biology Major delivers interdisciplinary training relevant to a wide variety of life sciences careers. Students can choose to specialize in one of eight transcript-visible options or select from a wealth of coursework to meet specific interests. Biology is a common home for pre-veterinary medicine, as well as pre-medicine and other health professions

International Year One in Engineering will prepare you to enter your next term of a bachelor’s degree program at Oregon State University. Environmental Engineering
Students can earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering. The undergraduate curriculum is founded on a sound background in basic sciences (chemistry, physics, biology) and mathematics (calculus, differential equations), and strengthened with engineering science fundamentals (engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer). Upper division coursework in environmental engineering includes analysis and design of water and wastewater treatment systems, hazardous substance management and regulations, air pollution control technologies, and fate and transport of chemicals in the environment. All students participate in a capstone-design experience meant to foster interaction and communication between different engineering disciplines while applying environmental engineering principles to a real-world problem.

The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering offers three graduate degree programs, Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Science in Civil Engineering (M.S.), and  Doctorate in Civil Engineering (Ph.D.). Students can focus their work in different areas of civil engineering and make use of specialized facilities to complete their work.

Psychology
The School of Psychological Science offers students a variety of educational avenues that provide the necessary tools for competency in, and appreciation for, psychology as a scientific discipline.

In addition to classes whose contents span the many sub disciplines of psychology, the School of Psychological Science at Oregon State values the intellectual contributions of its students and offers a number of opportunities for research experience.

The School of Nuclear Science and Engineering offers graduate work leading toward the Master of Engineering, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Nuclear Engineering.

The nuclear engineering graduate degree is designed to prepare students for careers involved with the many beneficial applications of nuclear energy, radiation, and radioactive materials. Nuclear engineering professions are essential to society’s well-being since they enable significant public benefits through energy security, national defense, medical health, and industrial competitiveness.

Political Science
The OSU political science program investigates the stories behind the news headlines and teaches you skills to make up your own mind about the politics of laws that affect everyday issues. You will learn to think critically, write clearly and speak persuasively on diverse issues such as: assisted suicide, international terrorism, campaign finance, government involvement in health care and censorship.

Sociology
Sociology is the study of human social behavior and sociologists examine interactions within and between groups and resulting social institutions. The undergraduate program in sociology provides a general analysis and broad understanding of human societies and culture for persons in all fields. Selecting courses around a topic or theme of interest adds meaning to one’s education and strengthens the base of understanding from which one can pursue a career or further education. Two options are currently available for those interested — Crime and Justice, and Environmental and Natural Resource Sociology — although students can shape a custom theme such as international development or social policy.
