An INTO OSU Graduate Pathway program in Business Administration will prepare you to enter your next term of a master’s degree program at Oregon State University. Business Administration
The Oregon State MBA offers a variety of degree programs and certificates to meet the needs of our students, and we offer programs as part-time and full-time in Corvallis, as well as programs in Portland.

Our students have a variety of academic backgrounds; students who do not have an undergraduate degree in business or a business minor will complete coursework that provides a solid foundation of business knowledge. Oregon State MBA programs are 60 credit-hours in length (45 credit-hours for students who qualify for the accelerated program) and include both core and track-specific coursework. Students who have earned an undergraduate business degree or business minor from an accredited institution within the past 10 years may be eligible to participate in our 45 credit-hour accelerated program.

Computer science is the study of algorithms and problem solving. These problems apply to every scientific, engineering, and mathematical field, making computer scientists relevant in every professional field today. A computer science degree at Oregon State can give you the skills to program a custom low level sensor board all the way up to coordinating cloud datacenters full of servers.

The Business Information Systems curriculum will teach you to harness technology to help organizations achieve a competitive advantage in today's rapidly changing environment. You will gain a firm foundation in business administration and learn to architect, manage, develop and deploy information systems. Depending on your skills and interests you might become a business process analyst, IT project manager, data modeler, systems analyst, software quality tester, developer or database administrator, or you can choose from other technology-related business careers.

International Year One General will prepare you to enter the second year of one of OSU's many undergraduate degree programs. Business Administration
The business administration degree provides students with a broad overview of business; basic skills in accounting and quantitative methods; an understanding of the legal and social environment of business; a background in management and organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and operations management; an understanding of the entrepreneurial process; and the opportunity to integrate course work and further develop decision-making skills through the analysis of business cases.

Design & Innovation Management

Are you a creative-thinker who can help an organization be a leader in design and innovation? Are you interested in working with multi-disciplinary teams on tackling creative challenges? Our design and innovation management major will help you build the skills you need for a management role in design-related fields across many areas of industry, including large and small companies.

Our design and innovation management degree focuses on the intersection of design and business, bringing together analytic and creative problem-solving skills. You'll focus on how design can be integrated into an organization from a management and strategic perspective and learn the value that design and innovation can bring to an organization.

You'll learn to integrate and focus on the role of design in the creation and management of strategic, sustainable business advantages and customer solutions.

Your career skills are rounded out with fundamentals such as project management, principles of marketing, design thinking and process innovation, retail management, ethics and corporate social responsibility as well as the fundamentals of visual arts and art history.

Economics
The department offers four different paths in the major and a minor:

• General Economics Option - Organizations want employees who can think, communicate orally, write, and solve problems, and who are comfortable with quantitative analysis.
• Managerial Economics Option - The Managerial Economics Option is an interdisciplinary program which allows students to use business classes toward the requirements of the economics degree.
• Law, Economics and Policy Option - The Law, Economics and Policy Option is an interdisciplinary program drawing from political science and philosophy courses as well as economics.
• Mathematical Economics Option - As the economics profession becomes increasingly mathematical, economics majors who plan to go to graduate school need a strong math background.

Students in the merchandising management program prepare for positions in management, merchandising, inventory control, sales promotion, public relations and human resources. This field offers a wide variety of career opportunities with retailers, manufacturers, marketing research firms and product information services. In a global, diverse, fast-paced and competitive environment, merchandisers are involved in market analysis, product planning, sourcing, procurement, pricing, distribution and visual presentation of apparel and textile products.

The BioHealth Sciences (BHS) major serves over 700 students, and is designed for students seeking an interdisciplinary background in the life sciences, health care, and social sciences.  This major consists of a comprehensive core with a strong biological and physical science foundation combined with a variety of health and social sciences courses in a unique blend formulated to meet the needs of students interested in a career in the health care field.  BioHealth Sciences majors receive excellent training for a variety of professional programs including: dentistry, physician assistants, pharmacists, physical therapists, optometrists, podiatrists, doctors, and clinical laboratory scientists.  Healthcare providers will be prepared to meet the challenges of the increasing diversity of our nation through training on cultural competence and cross-cultural issues.

Anthropology
200,000 years ago, human beings emerged from the dry savannahs of East Africa. 12,000 years ago, we learned to domesticate the natural world around us. 7,000 years ago we started to trade with each other, build kingdoms and record our histories.

By 2,500 years ago, people had begun to dig a little deeper — asking big questions that gave rise to civilization, art and philosophy. What does it mean to be human? Why do we behave the way we do? What is our purpose? Anthropologists have been trying to answer those questions ever since.

As an anthropologist, you will spend your days studying the people of the past in order to better understand the present. Whether by capturing oral histories, fundraising for a nonprofit or researching the dynamic way cultural ideas shift over time, you’ll use the knowledge you gain at Oregon State to make the world a kinder, more imaginative place.
