The Charles and Patsy Collat Industrial Distribution (ID) Program is a rare degree program that puts you at the center of one of the fastest growing fields in business.  Distribution professionals manage the flow of materials from manufacturers to distributors to customers- which means they play a key role in propelling the economy forward by supplying the building blocks for the products America creates and the world buys. Industrial distributors supply government, industry, and manufacturers, with products necessary for business and health care operations.

Graduates are prepared for careers with manufacturers or distributors in technical industries for sales engineering, logistics, marketing, inventory and purchasing positions as well as branch management.

Chemistry
The UAB Department of Chemistry provides students with the education and practical experience they need to participate in new scientific frontiers. Chemistry connects the basic sciences with all of the applied sciences, including medicine and engineering. Students who successfully complete an INTO UAB Graduate Pathway program in computer science are assured progression to a UAB graduate degree program upon submission of additional required application materials. Computer Science
You may already feel like a computer expert, but in this program, you will find that you have more to learn about big data, cyber security, mobile applications, and other trending topics related to software engineering, analytical, database and other careers.

This program is open to students with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, such as engineering. There are computer science and math prerequisites necessary for this degree. Once they're done, you'll have 30 hours of coursework to do, which can be finished in 18 months if you're in school full time. You'll take classes such as Database Systems, Network Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. We'll also ask you to choose between two plan options, depending on what your goals are for your future. If you want to do research, continue your graduate studies, or pursue a professional program, you should pick Plan I (thesis option). For those interested in transitioning to the computer science field, Plan II (non-thesis option) is better. Your coursework here will include specializations in bioinformatics, computer graphics, and distributed computing.

The M.S. in Computer Science (MSCS) program is designed to provide advanced study opportunities for individuals who:

• Hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science and would like to advance their technical knowledge in the field and/or learn about research in Computer Science,
• Hold a bachelors degree in another field and want to make a career transition to the computing field, or
• Currently work in the computing field and wish to obtain a graduate degree for career advancement

Clinical labs need people like you to run tests and analyze data in order to give patients accurate diagnoses. We can prepare you for a career working in a hospital lab, industry, research lab, or elsewhere.

To earn the MS in Clinical Laboratory Science, you'll complete a rigorous curriculum that includes a set of rich, diverse learning experiences under faculty that are committed to your success. The comprehensive program includes courses such as Body Fluids, Laboratory Techniques, Hematology, Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Microbiology, among others. To give you a valuable, hands-on experience, you'll have lab offerings with most of your courses.
