The major in International Studies enables students to undertake programs of study which emphasize: (a) preparation for careers in international activities, or (b) the study of particular international themes or topics, or (c) the study of particular regions or cultures. Each student develops a course of study designed to fulfill his or her career and educational goals in consultation with the International Studies advisor.

Business Analytics and Information Systems
The Business Analytics and Information Systems (BAIS) major provides the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the rapidly changing world of business analytics and information systems. Potential career paths include data analyst, business intelligence analyst, business analyst, consulting, systems analyst, database administrator, project manager or a myriad of technology management roles in business.

The Spanish Section of the Department of World Languages supports a broad, intellectually-driven approach to teaching language, culture, and literature in higher education. Languages and cultures are complex, multifunctional phenomena that link an individual to other individuals, to communities and to national cultures. The graduate major in Spanish offers students academic and practical training in the languages, literatures and cultures of the Spanish-speaking communities of Spain, Latin America, and the United States. Students who receive a Masters of Arts in Spanish from the Department of World Language Education at USF become well-educated communicators with deep translingual and transcultural competence. Thus, they are exceptionally prepared to either continue studies leading to the Ph.D., or find careers in related fields such as the teaching profession, translation, government, civil service agencies, legal and paralegal services, or foreign and domestic business enterprises.

Geology
The Bachelor of Science degree program provides the student with a hands-on foundation in the fundamentals of the geosciences. As a result of faculty interests and geographic locations, several geologic sub-disciplines are emphasized, including applied geophysics, coastal geology, geochemistry, geomorphology, geoscience education, hydrogeology, paleobiology, petrology, and volcanology. However, the wide variety of courses and electives offered by the Geology, Environmental Sciences, and Geography programs within the School of Geosciences provides students with programs of study that can be tailored to fit individual needs while maintaining a sound background in all general aspects of geology.

World Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Italian
The Bachelor of Arts in World Languages and Cultures offers students a solid foundation in language and linguistic skills, as well as knowledge of diverse cultures. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to interact and participate in a global environment.

The Public Administration major offers a multi-disciplinary course of study leading to a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree. This degree is designed primarily to prepare students for successful leadership roles and management careers in the public (i.e., governmental and quasi-governmental organizations), non-profit, and private sectors. Students enrolled in the M.P.A. program pursue careers in local, state, or federal agencies of government, non-profit organizations, and special service districts. Those employed in public management positions may wish to pursue an M.P.A. degree in order to broaden their educational backgrounds to prepare for increased job responsibilities, or to change career paths.

The Public Administration major also offers courses of study leading to a Graduate Certificate in Public Management or a Graduate Certificate in Management of Non-Governmental and Non-Profit Organizations. These options are designed for individuals who wish to acquire knowledge of public and non-profit management theory and practices, but who do not find it necessary or feasible to pursue the M.P.A. degree.

International Year One in Visual and Performing Arts will prepare you with the skills you'll need to continue on as a second year visual and performing arts student at the University of South Florida. Art History
The curriculum in Art History reflects the belief that a traditional liberal arts program, supplemented by travel, is the best preparation for students who wish to teach the history of art at the college level or work in museums and galleries. Students will not specialize in a particular area such as Renaissance or Modern, but will acquire a general knowledge of the history of art. All Art History majors are required to take at least one 4000-level non-Western Art History course. Courses in areas such as history, philosophy, and literature are recommended as electives, both as supplement to undergraduate courses in art history and as a background for future graduate work. Art History majors are required to take courses in studio art as a means of better understanding what is involved in the art making process. It is important that students make every effort to travel to major museums in this country and, if possible, abroad.

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary major that utilizes talent across the Colleges of Business, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Behavioral and Community Sciences. The major prepares students for leadership, managerial and domain-specific roles in Cybersecurity and for employment in managerial and operational positions that require quick analytical thinking, decision-making under uncertainty regarding critical resources, and domain-specific technical skills for managing secure operations. Specifically, based on the design of the concentrations and the core of this major, the major is also expected to prepare students for

• Intelligence positions that require innovative, analytical, decision-making, and technical skills for providing cybersecurity intelligence,
• Information assurance positions that require secure management of information and data transferred, used, stored, and processed in information systems,
• Law enforcement positions that are required to deal more and more with cyber-crimes, and
• Cybersecurity positions that require deep technical skills in the security domain.

Because this is a graduate-level major, to ensure that students possess the foundational knowledge for academic success, students admitted to this major are most likely to be successful if they have academic or work experience in the areas of C/C++ programming, computer networks, operating-system design, algorithms, data structures, and computer organization. An undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, MIS, or IT is recommended for admission. Note: For the Information Assurance Concentration it is recommended that students have a background in accounting information systems, database management, and systems analysis and design.

Computer Engineering
The Computer Engineering program emphasizes the application of engineering principles to the design of computer hardware and software, and devotes additional time to computer architecture and advanced topics in hardware design, including extensive laboratory work. Students in this program also acquire a broad background in engineering topics through related coursework in the College.

The faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department at USF takes great pride in providing a high quality education to our more than 400 graduate students and invites you to consider joining us in advancing the frontiers of knowledge. Many serve in national leadership roles in technical societies such as the IEEE, have industry experience to complement their academic backgrounds, and lend their expertise to federal agencies such as The National Science Foundation and The National Institutes of Health.
