An INTO USF Graduate Pathway program in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at University of South Florida. Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology (MSPN)-M.S.
The Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology is designed to train students in the skills they will need to understand the burgeoning technological advances in science at the nanoscale and how new nanomaterials and processes can be applied to drug delivery, diagnosis, treatment monitoring, tissue regeneration, personalized medicine and more. Nanopharmacy and nanomedicine is a unique interdisciplinary science that integrates the knowledge of natural sciences and engineering with Pharmacy and medicine to develop nanopharmaceuticals.

The University of South Florida offers a four year program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. The first three years are completed on campus; the fourth year (12 months) is completed at one of three affiliated hospitals in Florida, located in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Jacksonville. Admission to the fourth year is limited by the number of openings in affiliated hospitals and, at the present time, is competitive. Selection for the clinical program is made by the hospitals and students not admitted to a clinical program will need to select an alternate degree. Generally, hospitals require a minimum GPA of 2.50 to a 2.75, and our students admitted to clinical programs in recent years have had a mean GPA of 3.4 or higher. Students successfully completing this program will be granted a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology.

International Year One General will prepare you to enter the second year of a bachelor's degree program at the University of South Florida. Long Term Care Administration
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Long Term Care Administration provides students with a basic education in gerontology and allows graduates of the program to sit for the licensure examination to become Nursing Home Administrators. It is especially appropriate for students who intend to begin working immediately following completion of the degree program.

The undergraduate major in Management prepares students to manage and lead all aspects of organizations. It also prepares students for graduate study in business and other fields. Mastery of course content enables students to inspire themselves, others, teams, and organizations to coordinate efforts to provide effective outcomes. Content covered includes ethics and virtue, organizational behavior, human resources, domestic and international cultural differences, and negotiating skills. A capstone course integrates the learning objectives of the major in a study of a real company where students demonstrate that they can now apply effectively what they have learned.

The Biomedical Sciences degree serves as a gateway into a variety of health-professional programs such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Physician Assistant. Required courses include Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics. This degree provides the flexibility to choose advanced-level science coursework based on academic and professional interests. Students contemplating graduate study should pursue a major in the discipline of their interest, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology.

The Bachelor of Science in Biology provides a broad, robust foundation in the biological sciences. It prepares students for graduate programs in biology (e.g. zoology, botany, conservation biology, microbiology, marine biology, ecology and evolution) as well as professional degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and pharmacology, or biology careers with industry and government agencies. The program emphasizes the development of critical thinking and communication skills, as well as competency in experimental design, data analysis and methodology for lab and field research. The concentrations allow students to focus coursework according to their interests. A wide range of skill-building opportunities are available to students through undergraduate research, internships, study abroad, service learning, and field courses.

Sociology
The Sociology major is designed to provide students with a broad liberal arts education and a greater understanding and insight into the social systems and processes that bear upon everyday lives. Opportunities for students with Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology are quite varied. Some go on to work for human service agencies; others work in personnel, criminal justice, and urban planning; others enter graduate programs in sociology, education, law, medicine, or social work. Toward these ends, all students are encouraged to become skilled in the use of computers and libraries.

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary major that utilizes talent across the Colleges of Business, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Behavioral and Community Sciences. The major prepares students for leadership, managerial and domain-specific roles in Cybersecurity and for employment in managerial and operational positions that require quick analytical thinking, decision-making under uncertainty regarding critical resources, and domain-specific technical skills for managing secure operations. Specifically, based on the design of the concentrations and the core of this major, the major is also expected to prepare students for

• Intelligence positions that require innovative, analytical, decision-making, and technical skills for providing cybersecurity intelligence,
• Information assurance positions that require secure management of information and data transferred, used, stored, and processed in information systems,
• Law enforcement positions that are required to deal more and more with cyber-crimes, and
• Cybersecurity positions that require deep technical skills in the security domain.

Because this is a graduate-level major, to ensure that students possess the foundational knowledge for academic success, students admitted to this major are most likely to be successful if they have academic or work experience in the areas of C/C++ programming, computer networks, operating-system design, algorithms, data structures, and computer organization. An undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, MIS, or IT is recommended for admission. Note: For the Information Assurance Concentration it is recommended that students have a background in accounting information systems, database management, and systems analysis and design.

This thesis-based degree provides graduate training in conservation, biodiversity, ecology, organismal biology and taxonomy . Graduates of this program find careers in research and management of biodiversity, including natural resource agencies at the local, state and federal level, not-for profit conservation groups, environmental consultancy firms, and zoos, aquariums and botanical gardens.

The major is designed to provide students with advanced training in either Anatomy, Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, or Pharmacology.  Students successfully completing the major will have a foundation that will prepare them for a professional degree in biomedical science such as a M.D. or Ph.D. or qualify them to work as teachers or research assistants in academia or in the private sector.   The major will provide a solid core of training in the latest findings, concepts, and experimental techniques.  Students will be allowed to individualize their training through elective courses and will have the opportunity to conduct laboratory research.  The major is intended for students who wish training beyond a baccalaureate degree but do not wish to commit to a Ph.D. major or do not meet the qualifications required for admissions into a M.D. or Ph.D. major.
