The Rowan University Chemical Engineering Program is a student-centered, primarily undergraduate program that incorporates leading-edge educational methods and technology with engineering practice. We prepare students for careers in the global chemical process industry and related fields, and for advanced degree study. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in chemical engineering science and design, and emphasizes the development of effective communication and teaming skills, and professional responsibility in preparation for a career in a diverse global workforce. Throughout the curriculum, students are exposed to chemical engineering methods using hands-on, state-of-the-art experiments, modern computer tools, and problem synthesis and solution approaches. Our Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is a multi-faceted, intensive program that provides the educational requirements necessary to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). It is also an appropriate degree path if you are interested in research positions, plan to pursue a doctoral degree, are going to teach, or are seeking human service positions.

The curriculum emphasizes the development of skills in differential diagnosis, conceptualization and development of treatment plans for mental health patients. Our students are exposed to many different aspects of the field, giving them extensive field experience and knowledge of individualized outpatient treatment and counseling.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychological Science is a degree designed for students who are interested in pursuing research-oriented careers that may or may not require graduate level training such as experimental psychology .

Our curriculum is designed to provide our students with breadth and depth of knowledge in psychology as well as professional skills in research both inside and outside of the classroom. Along with other foundation courses, the degree requires a year-long research course sequence (i.e. Advance Research I and II) that provides students with the opportunity to conduct a human subjects research project from beginning to the end. The BS in Psychological Science major consists of 60 credits in psychology, 4 credits in Calculus, and 4 credits in Biological Science.

Our Master of Arts in History is tailored toward increasing competence in historical studies for preparatory or supplementary teaching, on both the high school or community college level. It is also appropriate if you are seeking qualification for admission to a doctoral program at another institution or if you are pursuing an advanced-level liberal education for intellectual challenge and personal fulfillment. We offer a thesis and non-thesis track.

The B.S. Degree in Biochemistry, an interdisciplinary program, is designed to prepare students for a career in biochemistry or graduate studies. The program combines the value of a liberal education with appropriate classroom and laboratory training in chemistry, biology, math and physics. The focus is on a molecular approach to studying living systems. The biochemistry major can choose to specialize in related areas of chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics or structural biology, pre-med, allied health sciences or biomedical sciences by a careful selection of elective courses. The emphasis in all courses is on the acquisition of a solid knowledge base combined with hands-on laboratory work using modern equipment. Each student is expected to carry out a laboratory-based research project.

Our Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering provides interdisciplinary coursework designed to increase the understanding and application of engineering principles. All of our program faculty possess expertise in transportation, geo-technology, structures, water resources, and the environment. Courses include applied, hands-on education, and build the knowledge and training needed for students to contribute to the engineering field.

Interdisciplinary areas include mechanics and materials, and sustainability. This specialization also includes the following focus areas: Mechanics and Materials; Signals, Systems and Computational Intelligence; Sustainability; and Transportation Engineering.

Our Master of Arts in Mathematics provides an opportunity to pursue advanced study in mathematics and develop the skills to help lead you to success in today's technologically-oriented society. Whether the goal involves applying mathematics to solve problems in business and industry, teaching in higher education, preparing for further graduate study in mathematics or related fields, or working in a rapidly the growing field of big data analysis as a statistician, this program enables each student to pursue a course of study that is appropriate for their interests.

To address these varying interests, we offer three concentrations: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics.
