Our M.A. in Higher Education Administrative track is designed to serve professionals without any experience in higher education administration, but who aspire to careers in that field; as well as those who are already practicing administrators in a college or university who wish to upgrade their skills.

Graduates of our Administrative track often pursue higher education careers in student affairs, including residential life, admissions, academic advising, student activity programming, and service-learning/volunteerism.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychological Science is a degree designed for students who are interested in pursuing research-oriented careers that may or may not require graduate level training such as experimental psychology .

Our curriculum is designed to provide our students with breadth and depth of knowledge in psychology as well as professional skills in research both inside and outside of the classroom. Along with other foundation courses, the degree requires a year-long research course sequence (i.e. Advance Research I and II) that provides students with the opportunity to conduct a human subjects research project from beginning to the end. The BS in Psychological Science major consists of 60 credits in psychology, 4 credits in Calculus, and 4 credits in Biological Science.

The Rowan University Chemical Engineering Program is a student-centered, primarily undergraduate program that incorporates leading-edge educational methods and technology with engineering practice. We prepare students for careers in the global chemical process industry and related fields, and for advanced degree study. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in chemical engineering science and design, and emphasizes the development of effective communication and teaming skills, and professional responsibility in preparation for a career in a diverse global workforce. Throughout the curriculum, students are exposed to chemical engineering methods using hands-on, state-of-the-art experiments, modern computer tools, and problem synthesis and solution approaches. The Chemical Engineering Program is committed to technical excellence, professional responsibility, and lifelong learning.

Our Master of Arts in Mathematics provides an opportunity to pursue advanced study in mathematics and develop the skills to help lead you to success in today's technologically-oriented society. Whether the goal involves applying mathematics to solve problems in business and industry, teaching in higher education, preparing for further graduate study in mathematics or related fields, or working in a rapidly the growing field of big data analysis as a statistician, this program enables each student to pursue a course of study that is appropriate for their interests.

To address these varying interests, we offer three concentrations: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics.

Studio art prepares you to confidently enter the professional world of art as an illustrator, designer or fine artist, or continue your education in a graduate program.

The Bachelor of Science degree is designed for students interested in scientific careers or pursuing graduate studies. Field experiences are an essential element of our curriculum, beginning in the first year.

Students earning a BS in Environmental Science will leave Rowan University with a broad understanding of several scientific disciplines and mathematics. Course requirements offer flexibility within the degree, not only with a number of elective credits but with choices among specialized courses.

BS students integrate the foundations of biology, chemistry, physics and other core STEM disciplines with their understanding of environmental issues. Environmental scientists are on the front line of documenting environment change and developing solutions to modern problems that impact everyone on Earth.

The RTF Department offers students courses in radio, television and film production, as well as courses in the history, business, and aesthetics of the media. Students can select one of two tracks within the program: The Traditional Production Emphasis, which is based in the department's, state-of-the-art digital production facilities, and a new Critical Studies Track. This track prepares the student for media studies in graduate school and/or careers in education and literary criticism. Students who complete both of these programs posses a broad-based liberal arts background and a strong preparation for either the media production industry or advanced media studies.

Molecular and Cellular Biology focuses on the study of the processes that govern living organisms. Comprehensive curricula cover theory and laboratory methods, allowing students to carry out and understand molecular and biomedical research. The program provides students a solid foundation in the life sciences preparing them for careers in the highly competitive health professions programs such as medical school, dental school, and pharmacy school, nursing, biotechnology and pharmacuetical industry positions.

Work with highly accomplished faculty who are artists, designers and historians to network and expand your talents. Our on-campus Art Gallery regularly exhibits contemporary artists from around the world and our two additional galleries spotlight students’ work.

The Africana Studies program at Rowan is devoted to the study of the historical and contemporary challenges, experiences, and contributions of Africans, African Americans, and people of African descent throughout the world. One of the program's greatest strengths is its unique interdisciplinary approach to global black studies that offers students an array of courses from 12 academic departments on campus. Students can major or double major in Africana Studies, or pursue a minor.

Southern New Jersey's fastest-growing demographic of minorities is a microcosm of America's increasingly diverse populations that live in majority-minority cities across the country. As the nation and the world become more diverse, it is important for universities to offer majors like Africana Studies that will help students to not only develop race literacy, but also to learn other cultural competencies needed to excel in an increasingly multicultural workplace and globalized world. In today's society, employers are looking for individuals who can thrive in a changing and dynamic environment.
