From intimate interpersonal settings to mass-mediated public discourse, you will focus on the rich complexity of our lived experiences, created by and represented through communication.

Health Promotion is a process of supporting, training and encouraging others in the pursuit of well-being in all dimensions of a person's life, including Social, Physical, Emotional, Occupational, Intellectual, Environmental and Spiritual. Personal health behavior is significant, as individuals are encouraged to adopt and maintain positive lifestyles through a variety of awareness, educational and motivational strategies. The program incorporates the Dimensions of Wellness philosophy as endorsed by the National Wellness Institute.

Students are prepared to facilitate wellness programs that address the overall well-being of individuals and groups. This program also emphasizes the management of health promotion and wellness interventions, preparing students with the administrative and business skills they need to successfully implement HPWM programs.

The Rowan Health Promotion and Wellness Management (HPWM) program is nationally accredited by the National Wellness Institute. It was one of the first programs awarded the Distinguished Undergraduate Program Award  by the National Wellness Institute.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering is one of the fastest-growing departments in the nation providing solutions to global challenges of today and tomorrow to improve quality of life. Anchored by our innovative and challenging undergraduate and graduate curricula, we offer fundamental and applied engineering education that trains graduates to succeed in diverse areas of the field. Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Rowan is a modern, innovative, hands-on project-based program, where we train and graduate proficient engineers who will be successful in solving not only today’s problems, but also tomorrow’s evolving and emerging engineering challenges. Electrical and computer engineers pioneered the invention of smartphones, computers, smart grids, digital cameras, GPS systems, medical imaging devices and computer games.

Join the crucial role in the design of cars, airplanes, spacecraft, autonomous and even extraterrestrial vehicles, home appliances, bioinformatics, lifesaving medical equipment and many other technologies that we have come to rely on.

The Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences program provides students a broad background in biology, however, maintains flexibility for students to build their own specialty track and prepare for a career. Our faculty's wide range of experience will prepares students for work in research, teaching, laboratories, professional schools, and graduate programs in diverse areas.

A  full range of theatre and dance production opportunities complements coursework and allows students to develop performance and production skills by creating live theatre.  All students may participate in the department's annual faculty-directed mainstage and/or student productions. These projects provide students with practical experience as performers, directors, designers and technicians, and enhances skills learned in the classroom.

Concentration in Musical Theatre
Become a well-rounded theater performer, not just a voice in a chorus. Meet with a private vocal instructor every semester for intensive singing lessons to best prepare you for auditions.

Unlike traditional programs, you will develop skills in all aspects of performance and overlap with Dance, Acting, and Design/Tech majors. Learn about acting, script analysis, movement, dance, improvisation, literature and musical theater history.

The Health and Science Communication (HSC) program is a unique, interdisciplinary program made up of students and faculty who are curious about health and science, who facilitate public engagement with complex information, and who advocate for life-saving and sustaining change.

Our M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis prepares our graduates with the necessary coursework for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Applied Behavior Analysis is one of the most effective and frequently utilized treatment approaches for individuals with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. Our program has an excellent reputation, and includes a strong basis in experimental analysis with full-time faculty members trained in this area.

Our M.A. in Writing encourages you to explore the principals of craft and the practices of writing. As a graduate student, you have the opportunity to focus on a central area of interest or create a diverse course of study that explores the intersections between creative writing, professional writing, new media, journalism, writing studies, and writing pedagogy.

Our program appeals to many creative professionals, such as:

• Creative writers interested in writing and publishing fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, writing for children and young adults, or other genres
• Educators who currently teach K-12 or who wish to teach writing on the college level
• Professionals who write regularly at work or who aspire to writing-related careers
• Students who wish to prepare for advanced graduate work leading to the M.F.A. or Ph.D.

Develop an advanced proficiency in the Spanish language and a deep understanding of the civilization, cultures, and literature from both Spain and Latin America. Learn to think and write analytically, enrich your worldview, and use the language practically in a wide variety of careers.

This major also provides a general background for future professional studies and advanced degrees in Spanish.
