A  full range of theatre and dance production opportunities complements coursework and allows students to develop performance and production skills by creating live theatre.  All students may participate in the department's annual faculty-directed mainstage and/or student productions. These projects provide students with practical experience as performers, directors, designers and technicians, and enhances skills learned in the classroom.

Concentration in Acting
Focus on dance and singing to become a multi-disciplinary, diverse independent artist. Train in movement, voice, script analysis, psychological acting, directing and literature.

Movement is paired with cutting-edge vocal work including Linklater, Fitzmaurice and Roy Hart techniques. We fuse voice and physical work with psychological acting based in original Stanislavsky teachings.

Environmental and Sustainability Studies – let’s abbreviate it ESS – explores humanity's relationship with the natural world in order to help solve environmental problems. Environmental problems are a priority: in your town, across the state of New Jersey, throughout the US, and around the world. Without a strong and resilient environment, humans live shorter lives, have less productive economies, and miss out on the majesty of nature.

While science, technology, and engineering work has led to amazing tools for ‘fixing’ many of the environmental problems we currently face, the fact remains that these solutions are not always put into place. In other words, we already know how to solve many of the technical aspects of environmental problems we face; it is the human part that remains most challenging. You should study ESS if you want to understand the human context of environmental problems, and want to help implement meaningful, lasting solutions.

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Rowan is a modern, innovative, hands-on project-based program, where we train and graduate proficient engineers who will be successful in solving not only today’s problems, but also tomorrow’s evolving and emerging engineering challenges. Electrical and computer engineers pioneered the invention of smartphones, computers, smart grids, digital cameras, GPS systems, medical imaging devices and computer games.

The M.A. in Strategic Communication offers a flexible structure taught by experienced professionals in public relations, public affairs, advertising, and integrated marketing communications. As a graduate student, you have access to individual consultations and mentoring provided by faculty and the professional network who supports the program. In our program, you have the freedom to focus on coursework that best matches your professional interests: media relations, strategic writing, event planning and management, visual communication, online public relations, or school public relations.

The Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology degree, through the four-field approach of cultural, physical, linguistic, and archaeology, is designed to prepare students to succeed in the 21st century and find employment in research, teaching, development, advocacy, health care among diverse populations, consumer research, community-based organizations, non-profits, and public service. Anthropology Majors will have the option of concentrating their studies in one of four subfield tracks. These are forensic anthropology, museum studies, medical anthropology, and cultural resource management and archaeology. The BA Anthropology degree will also support those students who wish to pursue further study in graduate or professional schools. By acquiring an anthropological perspective on diversity, culture, and ethnography as well as developing strong social and natural scientific research skills, students will expand their career opportunities.

Concentration in Musical Theatre
Become a well-rounded theater performer, not just a voice in a chorus. Meet with a private vocal instructor every semester for intensive singing lessons to best prepare you for auditions.

Unlike traditional programs, you will develop skills in all aspects of performance and overlap with Dance, Acting, and Design/Tech majors. Learn about acting, script analysis, movement, dance, improvisation, literature and musical theater history.

The B.S. degree in Chemistry prepares students for graduate study and for careers in industry, government or medicine. The program provides training in all five areas of chemistry following the recommendations of the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society. After completion of the basic courses there are numerous choices for advanced electives and the degree is capped off with a research experience. Students learn and work in laboratories equipped with modern instrumentation for hands-on use by students at all levels.

The MA in Diversity and Inclusion will educate professionals who can help create diverse workspaces where innovation can thrive when people are able to work, volunteer, and govern because of their differences. Rooted in ethnographic methodology, the program will provide students with knowledge and methodologies to help specific organizations or institutions work towards building diverse and inclusive communities. This work requires deep knowledge of cultures, history, ideas, social structures, institutions, and politics, the breadth of what Humanities and Social Sciences has to offer.

Supply Chain and Logistics have become so critical that most businesses cannot compete without them. Supply Chain and Logistics Professionals strive to reduce costs, boost customer service, ensure quality, and improve companies' profit leverage.

As a supply chain and logistics major, you will learn about logistical functions, understand the intricacies of supply chain operations, and identify and analyze supply chain strategies for realistic situations. Besides, you will learn to use quantitative techniques to analyze, structure, and solve complex real-world supply chain problems. Through applied coursework, team-based projects, case studies, and real-world experience, you will gain the skills to make smart decisions critical to supply chain value creation.

Our Supply Chain and Logistics program will provide students with a growth mindset as well as the foundations, tools, and experience necessary to pursue a career in logistics, inventory management, purchasing, warehousing, transportation, and general supply chain management.

Rowan University's cutting-edge Bachelor of Science in Music Industry degree program provides students with the extensive knowledge and experience they need to launch a successful career in the music business or the recording industry. Music Industry majors can choose between two specializations: Music Technology and Music Business. The Music Technology specialization offers hands-on production experience in the recording studio, while Music Business focuses on management and marketing as practiced in the music industry. Students in one specialization can take courses from the other as electives. Both specializations incorporate 12 credits from the Rohrer College of Business.
