The Department offers the Organismal Biology major leading to the Bachelor of Science degree.  The curricula for this major is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization. This program also provides a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

Social workers aim to enhance the well-being of individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities with a particular focus on advocating with and on behalf of individuals who are vulnerable and oppressed.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in social work is a dynamic degree program that equips you with the professional knowledge, values, and skills to engage in generalist social work practice across social work settings. You'll engage in practicums and internships to gain real-world experience. You'll learn from professors who have both research and clinical backgrounds in mental health, children and families, gerontology, policy analysis, disabilities, crisis management, and homelessness.

Major in management and develop skills in areas such as behavioral dynamics, leadership, project management, business logistics and processes, international relations, and the management of information systems.

The Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering provides students an opportunity to use scientific principles and engineering concepts and practices to design, build, test and operate aerospace, aviation and aeronautical systems and vehicles, including involvement in the design, development and production of vehicles for flight, both in and beyond the atmosphere.

Our Bachelor of Arts in music is a unique combination of music training and a traditional liberal arts education. We blend academic knowledge, musical ability, and performance skills to create musicians and music scholars who contribute intellectually and creatively to society through music. You'll take courses in applied lessons, ensemble participation, music history, music theory, aural skills, conducting, and upper division courses in music. Our BA in music emphasizes critical thinking, time management, self-discipline, and practical skill development.

Biosystems engineers work to ensure our communities have safe and plentiful food to eat, pure water to drink, clean fuel and energy sources, and a safe, healthy environment in which to live. As a student in biosystems engineering, you’ll use principles of engineering and biology to solve problems in biological systems, agriculture, natural resources and the environment.

Auburn offers the only accredited biosystems engineering program in Alabama, and the forest engineering option is the only one of its kind in the South.

Our Environmental Science major program is an interdisciplinary degree, incorporating studies such as soil science, physics, chemistry, biology and geology. Environmental solutions also frequently require mathematical expertise as well as specific knowledge of air, water and soil environments. Thus, the program is structured to educate environmental scientists broadly, but with considerable depth and flexibility.

The non-thesis Master of Cybersecurity Engineering positions students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to protect our nation's systems against cyber attacks. The program will provide graduates with advanced knowledge in computer and network security, digital forensics, advanced operating systems, reverse engineering, and other areas of expertise.

Biochemistry is the branch of science that explores the chemical processes within and related to living organisms. It is a laboratory-based science that brings together biology and chemistry. By using chemical knowledge and techniques, biochemists can understand and solve biological problems.

Biochemistry focuses on processes happening at a molecular level. It focuses on what’s happening inside our cells, studying components like proteins, lipids and organelles. It also looks at how cells communicate with each other, for example during growth or fighting illness. Biochemists need to understand how the structure of a molecule relates to its function, allowing them to predict how molecules will interact.

Auburn’s Bachelor of Science in Building Construction (BSCI) Program is a four-year ACCE accredited program focused on construction management including specialized training in estimating, scheduling, project management, safety, surveying, sustainable construction, and structures.

The Building Construction Program is unique due to its leading-edge information technology applications emphasis. This combination provides graduates a comprehensive foundation for success. International study opportunities allow students to have exposure to global practices in construction science.
