Wildlife Ecology: With this concentration, you will study a broader range of wildlife than other specializations, including recreationally and culturally important game species and ecologically important non-game species. Most students in this area intend to pursue advanced degrees.

If you enjoy bringing life to a creative thought, you may find your niche in studio art. Choose a focus in two- or three-dimensional art, such as ceramics and sculpture, painting and drawing, photography, or printmaking. Become familiar with a number of art techniques and the major achievements in the history of art. Gain an understanding of contemporary thinking about art and design, and learn to make valid assessments of quality in design projects and works of art. Studio artists are creative problem solvers who enjoy experimentation, are self-disciplined, and visually aware.

Digital Art: Combine your two loves into one discipline that will help you refine your skills in classes that provide a broad, integrated understanding of creative practice across 3-D modeling, animation, video, Web, interactive systems, photo-based media, and digital printmaking. Forest Enterprise: Learn about the business aspects of forestry and wood products. Forestry is the largest agricultural sector in Louisiana, and forest products and enterprises contribute greatly to local, state, and national economies.

• Rhetoric, Writing and Culture: You have a passion for writing. Learn how to direct that passion toward a variety of audiences. The rhetoric, writing, and culture concentration focuses on a wide range of writing genres (e.g., producing a corporate document, a newspaper, a novel, or a film script), studied on a range of levels, including linguistics (the systematic study of the components of language), rhetoric (the art of the effective and persuasive use of language), and cultural studies (encompassing all the socially transmitted  assumptions and behaviors that affect a text).

In this program, you can expect to gain a wide-ranging view of world issues while focusing on a particular geographic region or areas such as global diplomacy. In international studies, you will also have opportunities to participate in study abroad programs and develop in-depth knowledge of the languages and cultures of your chosen area.
