Environmental Geology
Uses geological principles to solve environmental problems. This concentration provides a solid foundation in mineralogy, petrology, structural geology, and sedimentology, as well as basic courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.

Secondary Education: If you want to teach French, you can do that, too. The available secondary education concentration allows you to pursue certification to teach while you are enjoying the courses you love.

Mechanical engineers apply principles of engineering, mathematics, physics, and materials science for the analysis, design, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of equipment and machinery. They also work on all forms of energy production, exchange, and conversion for a wide variety of applications. As an LSU Mechanical Engineer, you will learn to emphasize physical realization of prototypes, develop skills for communicating tech­nical content effectively, and engage your professional community through industry-sponsored projects. Mechanical engineers are versatile and work in industries such as automotive, air and space, and petrochemical, to name a few. Careers include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) engineer; automotive designer; manufacturing engineer; reliability and maintenance engineer; production supervisor; and more.

The Bachelor of Arts is a broad-based liberal arts degree with an emphasis in the study of music. You can use this degree to explore music alongside other areas of study including business, engineering, arts administration, digital media, and jazz.

In this program, you can expect to gain a wide-ranging view of world issues while focusing on a particular geographic region or areas such as global diplomacy. In international studies, you will also have opportunities to participate in study abroad programs and develop in-depth knowledge of the languages and cultures of your chosen area.

• Middle East: The concentration in the Middle East focuses on the religion, politics, art, and literature of the Middle East and North Africa. The concentration includes the Arab world, as well as important bordering states such as Turkey and Iran. This is a region with a rich history and tradition which has been a preoccupation of recent United States foreign policy.

Interior designers create functional and visually appealing indoor environments. They shape, organize, furnish, and adorn the insides of buildings to reflect our personal and cultural aspirations. Today’s interior designers do not simply decorate. They work on wide range of interiors, from residential to corporate projects, designing spaces within new buildings and finding ways to adapt and re-use existing structures. Film and Television
The film and television concentration provides you with the essential skills and knowledge not only to create and collaborate onstage and offstage, but on and off camera as well. The program is directly tied to the growing film industry in Louisiana and its need for highly skilled artists, technicians, and administrative personnel.

Computer Engineers create, improve, and/or fix computer hardware and software by combining knowledge from the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Computer engineers might be involved in any aspect of computer design, including circuit design, supercomputing, microprocessor design, personal computing, chip design, embedded systems, sensor design, robotics, and more.
