Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies
Women’s and gender studies examines the roles that gender plays in everyday life. Courses examine topics such as women in culture and history; gender and race, class, and sexuality; gender in literature, politics, the law, and the sciences.

You are interested in telling the world’s compelling stories, whether they are in print, online, or through broadcast media.

Journalism
Become an expert in delivering news across multiple platforms. With emphases on writing, research, and visuals in traditional, online, and social media, graduates will be able to compete in this evolving digital industry.

Spanish is one of the three most widely spoken languages in the world and the second most widely used language in the United States. Mastering the Spanish language and culture can give you a critical edge in virtually any U.S. business or private firm, as well as in law and government service.

Secondary Education
If you plan to teach high school Spanish, the concentration in secondary education will prepare you for teaching certification while you pursue your degree in Spanish.

If you’re a natural-born “mathlete,” a degree in mathematics can lead to a career in many exciting areas, including actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, and secondary education. You can also pursue a graduate degree or professional degree in fields such as law and business.

Find great adventure in anthropology at LSU. Areas of study include archaeology, cultural anthropology, folklore, physical anthropology, and anthropological linguistics. The Entrepreneurship major is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively establish and turn a profit for a business. The film and television concentration provides you with the essential skills and knowledge not only to create and collaborate onstage and offstage, but on and off camera as well. The program is directly tied to the growing film industry in Louisiana and its need for highly skilled artists, technicians, and administrative personnel.
