Whether you have a passion for being on stage or are more interested in working behind the scenes, the School of Theatre offers you the opportunity to realize your dreams. It’s one of only a handful of programs in the country with an affiliate professional theatre, Swine Palace, which enables you to work alongside leading professionals while earning your degree.

Physical Theatre
If you’re more interested by Cirque du Soleil than Broadway, this concentration may be for you. Combining athleticism and theatrical presentation, training ranges from aerial work to contact improvisation.

Study everything from the chemistry of groundwater to seismic interpretation of Earth’s subsurface. You can also enjoy a six-week field course at LSU’s field camp in the Rocky Mountains. A degree in geology from LSU will prepare you for a graduate degree program or a career in the energy or environmental industries.

Environmental Geology
Uses geological principles to solve environmental problems. This concentration provides a solid foundation in mineralogy, petrology, structural geology, and sedimentology, as well as basic courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.

The Bachelor of Arts is a broad-based liberal arts degree with an emphasis in the study of music. You can use this degree to explore music alongside other areas of study including business, engineering, arts administration, digital media, and jazz.

Through the textiles, apparel, and merchandising curriculum, you can work toward your dream by taking advantage of its unique learning opportunities to gain technical and creative knowledge. Refine your critical thinking skills, gain expertise in the area of product development, and learn how to market your final product to consumers in a global marketplace. In this major, you can study political topics ranging from healthcare reform to international diplomacy. Through this exploration, you will develop knowledge and analytical skills that can help you succeed in a career in public policy, city management, and law.

Learn about the properties and composition of matter and the interactions and alterations of substances. Chemistry is at the core of most scientific disciplines, including the study of polymers, biotechnology, pollution control, and energy. There are nine available concentrations, which will allow you to narrow your focus to the career track that works best for you or help you prepare for graduate study. 

Materials

Economics is the study of how people choose to use resources. These can include the time and talent people have available; the land, buildings, equipment, and other tools on hand; and the knowledge of how to combine them to create useful products and services. Theatre Studies
Gain a comprehensive understanding of performance, production, and theatre scholarship, with maximum flexibility in tailoring your own course of study.

This curriculum is diverse with opportunities to study forest management of hardwood and pine forests, wetlands, wildlife, conservation biology, fisheries, aquaculture, habitat management, or prepare for a career as a wildlife-oriented veterinarian. Curricula emphasizes field instruction. Unique facilities available through this curriculum include the School of Renewable Natural Resources’ Lee Memorial Forest, an actively managed forest, which has accommodations and teaching facilities so that you can get hands-on experience in the field.

Wildlife Habitat Conservation and Management: Learn how to manage habitats to promote wildlife. You may take one of two paths: one focuses on wetland wildlife habitat, while the other offers greater experience with forest management, including an eight-week forestry camp off campus at Lee Memorial Forest.

Accounting defines transactions so they can be used to describe business activities. Learning the language allows you to communicate and understand the financial operations of any and all types of organizations. You also have the opportunity to earn a graduate degree while completing the required hours to be eligible for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
