The Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership (ILED) prepares licensed teachers to become effective and democratic instructional leaders in diverse school environments. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to add either the principal or teacher leader endorsement to their Illinois teaching licenses.

Marketing Communications is the term for the broad field that includes social and digital marketing, advertising, public relations, promotional marketing, and numerous other forms of persuasive communications activities. Students majoring in the Digital Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations degree are prepared for entry-level work in any area of this broad field. Through course work and a required professional internship in the field, students are prepared for entry-level work in any area of this broad field, including agencies, organizations and companies in advertising, public relations and marketing.

The BS degree in Biochemistry provides thorough training in the fundamental principles and experimental techniques of chemistry and biology as they apply to biological systems, and emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of these sciences. Actuarial science applies probability theory and risk management to the areas of life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, pension plans, and other employee benefit plans. Risk analysts and actuaries, who evaluate the long-term financial impact of these plans on both the issuing company and the purchaser or beneficiary of the plan, are employed by insurance companies, consulting firms, large corporations and governmental agencies. The major in actuarial science emphasizes the mathematical theory that underlies risk evaluation.

Music education students at CCPA come from all over the world to experience Chicago and develop their music teaching practice. Students enroll in degree plans with a choral or instrumental focus but all music education majors develop well-rounded knowledge and skills through methods courses in general music, choir, band, and orchestra as well as techniques and conducting courses. The BA in Early Childhood Education (ECHD) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children from birth to third grade. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to a combination of Illinois teaching credentials.

Roosevelt University is proud to offer one of the only social justice studies majors in the country. This interdisciplinary major, housed in the Department of Economics, provides practical and theoretical tools from the fields of economics, history, political science, and sociology to examine theories of and movements for social justice, particularly economic justice. Recent graduates work in government, non-for-profit organizations, and the private sector. Others have gone on to graduate school. Extensive training in writing, research and critical thinking prepare students well for any post-graduate path they choose to take.
