Students completing the Forensic Science - Chemistry Track B.S. degree will also meet the requirements for ACS certification. This track is designed to allow students the flexibility to prepare for multiple careers in forensics through selection of restricted elective courses. he Legal Studies program provides students with a broad understanding of basic principles of the law and the role and function of the legal system. In addition to preparing students for law-related careers, the program provides a solid foundation for law school. While no specific major is required for admission to law school, a degree in Legal Studies presents students with an unparalleled opportunity for law school preparation. All Legal Studies faculty are graduates of ABA-approved law schools, and practice/have practiced law.

Legal Studies students are encouraged to work closely with their program advisor in planning degree completion and career goals. Satisfactory completion of program requirements leads to the degree of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Legal Studies. The B.A. requires two semesters of college-level foreign language; the B.S. requires two years of high school foreign language.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences is designed for students with an interest in human health who plan to pursue health-focused careers. The Pre-Clinical track provides students with a solid educational background in basic and health-related sciences, while providing the foundation courses required for admission to graduate level clinical programs including but not limited to medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, physician assistant, and other health-related professions.

The UCF Department of Statistics & Data Science acquaints students with in the methods of collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation and organization of data and the use of complex data in many different applications. The department offers two undergraduate degrees, one in statistics and one in actuarial science; an M.S. degree with two tracks in data mining and statistical computing; and SAS certificate program and a Ph.D. degree in big data analytics.

The UCF Psychology Department is the largest in the Western Hemisphere by student enrollment. Currently at the undergraduate level we have well over 4,500 psychology majors, nearly 1,000 psychology minors, and over 180 students seeking the Behavioral Forensics Certificate. We also have well over 150 graduate students across our different doctoral and masters programs. We are Central to any conversation about Psychology Training in the State of Florida.

The School of Public Administration provides the highest quality undergraduate education for students interested in working in the nonprofit sector. The school strives to achieve local, state and national prominence through contemporary curriculum, innovative instruction, scholarly and applied research, and community service. Programs and services develop and enhance management skills essential to public and nonprofit organizations. The school offers an undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nonprofit Management. The program provides opportunities for students to prepare for employment as nonprofit professionals and produces graduates with the management skills and analytical techniques needed for successful careers in nonprofit and related business fields.

The BFA in Emerging Media program — offered by the School of Visual Arts and Design — combines art, storytelling, and technology to create impactful design and industry standard outcomes. Your coursework will provide you with a solid foundation in techniques and theory in one of the specialized tracks: Character Animation, Experimental Animation or Graphic Design.

While taking a wide variety of courses aligning classroom learning with personal and professional goals, you’ll gain a broad understanding of related disciplines, including arts, humanities, and technology, as well as hands-on experience working on real projects. Emerging Media graduates are employees at renowned fortune 500, media, design and production companies across the nation.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Senior Living Management is an interdisciplinary program that merges hospitality, gerontology and healthcare services. It will provide undergraduate students with the appropriate competitive skillset to acquire a managerial position in various types of senior living facilities, especially independent living, assisted living and continuous care retirement communities. It will provide a career path for students seeking employment in the senior living industry as business practitioners as opposed to that of direct care giver. The aim of this educational program is for UCF graduates to become the future managers and leaders of the senior living industry.

The Zoology and Pre-veterinary Track is designed for students seeking entrance into a veterinary medical program or graduate school in an animal biology related field.  In addition to core Biology courses in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology, this track emphasizes courses in Physiology, Animal Behavior and Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy.  Additional courses in Mammalogy, Ornithology, Herpetology and Ichthyology will broaden the student’s experience.  Moreover, electives such as Vertebrate Evolution and Ecology, and Zoo & Aquarium Management as well as lab courses in Anatomy, and Embryology/Development will prepare students to succeed in veterinary school or any graduate program in animal biology.  Students can also acquire hands-on experience and earn independent study credit through established connections with organizations such as the Central Florida Zoo, Back To Nature, and the Birds of Prey Center of Maitland.
