Students with a degree in applied mathematical economics learn to utilize mathematical modeling to analyze problems, which prepares them to pursue a variety of professions in business and economics. Our graduates have used their degree to launch careers in cost analysis, risk analysis, actuarial consulting, operations research, data science, quality control, investment consulting, insurance and technology consulting

Recent graduates are employed as scientists in academia, industry and government, or pursuing postgraduate education. In addition to our rigourous academic program, students can work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as discovering novel inhibitors of bacterial efflux pumps as a way to combat multi-drug resistance in bacteria, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings, and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments.

The issues facing us today are increasingly global in nature. The context in which we lead our professional and personal lives is steadily becoming more multicultural and global in scope, demanding new levels of international knowledge - knowledge beyond just geography, a few phrases of a foreign language, and a guide book.

Money is a part of modern society on every imaginable level. Individuals, families, small companies, large corporations, nonprofit organizations and governments must be able to manage their finances.

Our finance program prepares you to raise money, manage debt and invest your assets. You will work diligently to understand the financing of business enterprises: the financial decision making process, how financial markets function, and the acquisition and management of capital.

To prepare for your career, you can concentrate your studies in investment analysis and portfolio management, or corporate financial management.

As a UD Foreign Language Education major, you'll learn the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of our changing and global world — and prepare others to do the same. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to teach French, German or Spanish to students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12.

The UD School of Education and Health Sciences offers 11 undergraduate degree programs and 11 undergraduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs to help prepare students for careers in education, health, wellness, sport or physical activity. UD SEHS also offers 24 graduate degree programs and 22 graduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs. You'll be enrolled in a specially designed seminar course that offers an introduction to the division, its faculty, curriculum, opportunities for graduates, and the various policies and procedures necessary for the successful student to follow. This seminar provides information on cooperative education and internship opportunities, as well as extracurricular options. The classes are small, and the attention is as individual as needed. With the help of this seminar, along with the assistance of your knowledgeable adviser, you will discover the area of engineering technology that's right for you.

Once you decide on your engineering academic program, students admitted as Discover Engineering Technology are guaranteed to move into any engineering technology program and students admitted as Discover Engineering are guaranteed to move into any engineering program. As a UD Dietetics major, you'll thrive in an environment where hands-on learning, professionalism, leadership, and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. Students are mentored and taught by faculty who are registered and licensed dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) to support your growth and development, both in and out of the classroom.

Environmental geosciences tackle society’s most important environmental problems – climate change, energy resources, pollution and hazards – through a detailed and integrated study of major components of the Earth system: atmosphere, hydrosphere and the solid Earth.
