The issues facing us today are increasingly global in nature. The context in which we lead our professional and personal lives is steadily becoming more multicultural and global in scope, demanding new levels of international knowledge - knowledge beyond just geography, a few phrases of a foreign language, and a guide book.

Our curriculum provides you with an understanding of basic electrical engineering principles and emphasizes the development of problem-solving skills. Your extensive lab experiences are integrated with your coursework, which ensures the development of fundamental knowledge — resulting in a graduate ready to enter the workforce or pursue a graduate degree.

Electrical engineering is a broad-based degree program concerning the study and application of devices and systems involving electrical signals, electronics and electromagnetics. It includes the rapidly developing areas of control systems, digital and computer systems, microelectronics, telecommunications, radar systems, robotics, signal and image processing, and more.

Students gain technical and conceptual skills in the field of photography, with opportunities to collaborate across a wide range of fields and disciplines within the art world and beyond.

As a UD Foreign Language Education major, you'll learn the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of our changing and global world — and prepare others to do the same. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to teach French, German or Spanish to students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. 

Our master’s degree program prepares you for professional success. Many students go on to successfully complete a Ph.D., and others refine their skills for professional development and advancement. In the past few years, graduate students have presented at 30+ national, regional and state conferences.

From market research and product design to advertising and sales, marketing is the process of planning and executing the distribution of ideas, goods and services. In marketing, you will learn to identify, understand and satisfy the needs of consumers and organizations. Our curriculum teaches you to see the "big picture" of the overall marketing process while you learn about specialized marketing activities such as advertising, product development and sales.

During the capstone marketing course, you will take an in-depth look at buyer behavior and market research as you design a marketing plan to deliver a product or service effectively and efficiently to the target market for a real organization.

In addition to core marketing classes, electives allow you to specialize in advertising, entrepreneurial marketing, international marketing, Internet marketing, promotion management or retail marketing. And, if you are interested in sales, you can earn an emphasis in sales management or product innovation — offering a highly desirable set of skills.

Money is a part of modern society on every imaginable level. Individuals, families, small companies, large corporations, nonprofit organizations and governments must be able to manage their finances.

Our finance program prepares you to raise money, manage debt and invest your assets. You will work diligently to understand the financing of business enterprises: the financial decision making process, how financial markets function, and the acquisition and management of capital.

To prepare for your career, you can concentrate your studies in investment analysis and portfolio management, or corporate financial management.

In the School of Business Administration, you may participate in the Discover Business program if you are unsure which area of business is most appropriate for you. The structure of the curriculum is such that the final decision about a specific major need not be made until the junior year.

As a first-year student, you'll participate in a one-credit course in business educational planning where you will learn about the nine majors available in the School of Business Administration. This experience will help you select an appropriate major and provide the necessary framework to help realize academic, professional and extracurricular goals.

The criminal justice studies major is individualized and students choose the justice path that is right for them. The program is an excellent academic home for students interested in law and legal careers, intelligence, forensic psychology, federal law enforcement, probation and work with at-risk populations in the community.
