The UD School of Education and Health Sciences offers 11 undergraduate degree programs and 11 undergraduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs to help prepare students for careers in education, health, wellness, sport or physical activity. UD SEHS also offers 24 graduate degree programs and 22 graduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):

You will learn the musical and historical elements of jazz by studying jazz improvisation, theory, history, composition and arranging by taking weekly jazz lessons in your area of expertise. You also will perform in one of several jazz ensembles and a faculty-coached combo.

Bachelor of Arts in Geology
Geologists study the Earth’s materials, structures and processes, and how they have changed over the 4.6 billion years of the Earth’s history. In doing so, geologists address some of society’s most important problems, such as finding energy, water and mineral resources; environmental pollution and its prevention; and natural hazards such as landslides, volcanoes and earthquakes.

With our small class sizes, faculty members with real-world engineering experience, and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, we utilize hands-on learning to equip students with applied engineering knowledge and skills. Career opportunities for mechanical engineering technology graduates are in mechanical design, computer-aided design, product evaluation and development, manufacturing engineering, computer-aided manufacturing, plant engineering, technical sales, technical service, fluid power, automation, and technical management.
