Our students understand the marginalization of women throughout history and across cultures, and celebrate their accomplishments. Our graduates report a greater understanding of how change is brought about in society.

French and English are the only languages spoken on all five inhabited continents. With 300 million French speakers in the world, the ability to speak French is a career asset for our graduates. French is the official working language of the United Nations, the European Union, UNESCO, NATO, the International Olympic Committee and the International Red Cross.

Through the Discover Arts and Discover Sciences programs, students take a seminar acquainting them with the University and the College. The seminar will cover the curriculum and careers of each program, as well as the multitude of complementary minors. With the help of this seminar, along with the assistance of an academic adviser, students discover the program that best suits their needs and goals.

Receive comprehensive instruction in musicianship and pedagogy, so you can share your love of music with others by learning to teach instrumental, choral and classroom music to students in grades PK-12. You will learn contemporary methodology to teach a culturally responsive curriculum in any educational setting.

The transdisciplinary early childhood education (ECE) graduate program is a cohort program designed for individuals who seek to work with young children and their families. The degree also includes courses focusing on very young children with special needs.

Thesis and non-thesis options available.

• Blended curriculum combines coursework specific to both special education and general education.
• Optional: the prekindergarten special needs endorsement.
• Optional: coursework for the early childhood intervention specialist certificate.

We offer a theatre and dance major that allows for artists to become well-rounded and socially conscious practitioners through experiential learning in all areas. Students can pursue four different concentrations in the major: acting, applied theatre, dance and performance technology, or simply choose theatre studies for a generalist approach.

In the School of Business Administration, you may participate in the Discover Business program if you are unsure which area of business is most appropriate for you. The structure of the curriculum is such that the final decision about a specific major need not be made until the junior year.

As a first-year student, you'll participate in a one-credit course in business educational planning where you will learn about the nine majors available in the School of Business Administration. This experience will help you select an appropriate major and provide the necessary framework to help realize academic, professional and extracurricular goals.
